Sounds great, would recommend it if you only plan on using google cast other apps are hit or miss trying to cast to it, but Bluetooth works just as well. Great bass, great highs and lows. Overall a solid speaker.Very clean looking and stylish to be able to carry it around. I bought it on sale and it is an amazing speaker for the price I paid but for the $250 asking price I would have passed...but I did buy both while they were on sale VIZIO SP70-D5 sounds better than the crave 360

I bought two of these speakers. Simply put, these vizio speakers are great. I put both of these speakers in one room, on each side of my bed and they are daunting. Treble and bass are on point and these do a great job with filling a room, even large spaces with 2 speakers. They really do sound great, are hefty sized and built really well. Then you add in the portability aspect; threw a bbq and moved a speaker to the backyard and it was great. Especially because there wasn't a noticeable change in sound levels when switching to battery power like you get with some Bluetooth speakers.
As you may have read with other reviews, folks hate the app. The simple reason it's frustrating for most is because the goal they're trying to achieve is pairing the speakers in unison while having a strong connection with zero jitters or drops in sound. Those are the worst- like nails on a chalk board. In order to do so, you'll have to use the google home app, the vizio app and the music app....only once in the beginning. I went through the same frustration in the beginning but then it occurred to me: The issue is not really with the app, it's the incompatibility with certain music apps like Apple music to play music in a paired fashion and the amount of different apps I would be using in order to casually put on a song. Personally, I didn't have any connection issues (like I've had with my samsung radiant speakers) so the sound quality remained above par. After the initial setup, I was using Google music and the speakers came up with the left, right and the grouped option for me to select.
The reason for the 4 stars, instead of 5, is because the speakers sometimes went into a state of hibernation and wouldn't wake up. I had to simply power cycle them and all was well. Ultimately, I got tired of them not waking up at a glance, so I ended up returning them with a notion that I'll return and buy them again down the line or when Vizio upgrades their firmware.
Hope this helps.

Caught this bad boy on an amazing sale so I just couldn’t pass it up. It’s a great product but it has a few flaws. For whatever reason it keeps connecting to Bluetooth from my phone when I had no intention to. I try to use Google cast but it doesn’t always cast to the speaker.

Got as a gift - good way to play music

I got this as a gift, so I didn't fork out the $249.99 for the device. However, setting it up was a little of a nuisance to be hoinest. After setting it up, it streams just fine and plays music wonderfully. I love the long battery life and the strap that you can just carry around with you. One thing is that the top is a little to sensitive, so sometimes when one of us picks it up, it might pause the music. I personally wouldn't fork out the $249.99, but like I said, I received it as a gift, so I am giving it 5 stars.

Finally understood what other reviews meant when they said you had to download Vizio SmartCast App first in order to make it work, and then use Google Home or Bluetooth from then on. The problem is, connectivity/interface between the unit/s-to-smartphone and even Bluetooth-to-smartphone is not 100% reliable. I have 2 360s and one of the SP-70 to have a multiroom set up and it's not always functionally reliable. There are times I need to do a hard reset and set them up all over again to get them to work. However, once you get them working, the set-up sounds magnificent. Currently, I find myself using the Bluetooth connection as it is more convenient. Definitely worth the $60 I spent for these. If you have the patience (and the budget), go get them! Don't bother getting the SP-70s as they are too huge but, in my view, pales in comparison to these 360's.

A Great Speaker If You Find It At the Right Price

I've had the Vizio SmartCast Crave for nearly a year, and it is extraordinary -- but I bought it at a great discount when it was offered as a "Deal of the Day." I cannot say whether it is worth the several hundred dollars it sometimes sells for. I bought it for about one-fifth that price. But whatever you decide to do, this plays music beautifully. I simply connect my phone to it via Bluetooth, and it fills the room with a full range of sound and great clarity. And you raise the volume quite a bit (by rotating the circular top), if that's your style. I usually watch movies using a home theater setup, so I only use this for convenience when I want to listen to music, say, in the bedroom as I decompress before heading to sleep. But it offers amazing sound, nonetheless. It's also portable, since it has a charging base that separates from it easily. It's fairly large, and hefty in weight, which I take to mean that it's a quality build. I can't say how it compares to the Amazon Echo line of speakers, but frankly I'm not sure I really care. If you spot this at the right price (and I'm not sure why I lucked out), I really recommend it.

The Best Sound Quality

This was the best purchase I have made in a long time! The sound quality and portability of the speaker is everything. It has at least a 5 to 6-hour playing time and the sound quality is amazing. The price that paid for it made the deal that much sweeter.
A:AnswerYou cannot get a replacement charger. And there is no way to alternatively charge the speaker.
I lost my charger as well. I contacted Vizio about this. And they at first gave me the run around, before finally just saying what I said above...
A:AnswerIf your device supports multiple Bluetooth outputs then this may work however the speakers can not pair together using Bluetooth. You can add both devices to a Google Home group and cast audio to both devices at the same time.
A:AnswerMake sure you have pressed the Bluetooth button only once - if you press it again it will turn off Bluetooth on the speaker. It should announce that it is in pairing mode via a voice prompt from the speaker. On your phone, you may sometimes need to go to Settings and Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off then on while the speaker is looking for your phone. I needed to do this and then also hit the refresh symbol on the phone screen. Suddenly the Sport appeared as in the pairing list on the phone.
