- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2016I had such high hopes for this glue gun, cool touch, cordless...what more could you ask for? Well it simply doesn't really work. I put in brand new batteries and waiting for it to warm up (yes, I bought the matching glue sticks). Well it SLOWLY did heat up but after 15 min I could barely push any glue out. It just does not heat up hot enough to be able to glue anything. Sorry, but 15 min is plenty of time. After 20 minutes I can still barely push anything out with all my strength. I even tried buying name brand batteries (I typically buy dollar store batteries) and that didn't work. I such glorious visions of crafting without burned fingertips but those hopes have been dashed. I will stick with my hot as hell glue guns with cords from now on.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 11, 2015Update: My original review from a couple of years ago never got published. Since then I've purchased as many of these as I could find. It's a shame they don't make them anymore.
Some people complain they stopped getting hot, but you HAVE to use rechargeable batteries. The voltage on regular AA batteries will gradually go down, so they won't produce enough power to heat. The rechargeable batteries also have a declining voltage, but they have a much flatter curve, until they are exhausted. I purchased six of these to use in a science camp with elementary school children. I also purchased the AmazonBasics AA Rechargeable batteries, 16 pack. With fully charged batteries, it takes about 10 minutes to heat up to the point where the glue will come out. Better to let it heat up a bit longer. The really good thing is that the glue is not hot enough to burn you. It IS hot, to the point where if I get some on my skin it is uncomfortable, and very sticky. The kids can use them fine and had no problems. I had one child spill some on a bare leg and she did not even flinch.
With fully charged batteries, the guns will last at least an hour, and usually longer.
The glue probably does not stick as well as the really hot kind, but it does the job. Sometimes the glue doesn't want to come out, but that's true of all glue guns. The on/off switches are a bit difficult to use, but that's not a real issue. I did have one switch that got pressed inside the gun, and I had to take the unit apart and reposition the switch. Now it works fine.
Also, the battery cover comes off way too easily, so I just tape it on with masking tape. No problem.
All in all a great gun, and I love the fact that it is portable and you don't have to worry about cords!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2016Quite good for what it intends to do. Pros: pain-free, portable. Cons: Takes a while to heat up (5-10 minutes). Battery compartment unstable (opens too easily). The "prop" on the front end pops off way too easily (not that children ever use that feature properly anyway).
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2019I bought this low temp glue gun at the end of August. Only small amounts of glue emerged from the nozzle, it did not do a very good job making the crepe paper flowers I wanted the patients to make themselves. I am an artist in residence at two hospitals. Hot glue guns are not acceptable for a patients use. After about a week, no glue came out of the glue gun bought in August. I thought I would give this product another try. The new glue gun arrived yesterday. I brought it to the hospital today, hardly any glue comes out...I am throwing it away. I wasted my money, two times.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2013When working, the product is fine but it frequently just stops working and sometimes you can get it back going and sometimes not. Unreliable., until you call a very nice customer service agent who informs you you must use rechargeable batteries! Maybe the directions should say only rechargeables because the products won't work apparently without them...But custoomer service did an unparalled shop in helping me out. A live person! Polite, friendly, knowledgeable: hooray! What customer service is supposed to be about!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2021The gun came damaged but heated up so I had to keep it. The on/off switch was imbedded in the gun and i had to use a wooden dow to push it on and off. Now 4 months later it doesn't heat up. I have replaced 4 aa batteries 3 times in 3 months. I have only used it 3 times on balloon garland installations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recomendable.
La pistola es de buena calidad y funcional.
No te quemas feo cuando accidentalmente te cae el silicón en la piel.
Te sugiero usar pilas recargables.
Lo ideal sería que fuera eléctrica.

1.0 out of 5 stars The glue sticks that go with this do not go through the gun that easily and the batteries do not last very long less ...
It broke after 1sr use but I opened it up and fixed it. The glue sticks that go with this do not go through the gun that easily and the batteries do not last very long less than 2 hours. With hinsight I would have bought a wired one.

3.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to have a really good glue gun
This arrived very quickly - well packaged, As a crafter, I wanted to have a really good glue gun. I hadn't realised that the glue sticks are different and really expensive. So I cut my losses and sent it back.
