Yes there&#39;s a button for the light separately

The button on the left turns the diffuser on and off. You simply push this button to turn the diffuser on, and push it again to turn it off. The button to the right controls the light. One button-push turns it on and it gradually cycles from one color to another. You may also keep it at one color by repeatedly pushing it until you get to the color you prefer. Each color has a dim and bright setting. To turn it off, simply push and hold the button until the light turns off.

Is there a way to turn the light off or is it always on?

The product is used with mater and essential oils. You plug the unit in fill it with water and oil. The item has an automatic shut off if the unit runs dry.

You do add water, there is a max fill line printed on the plastic inside. I just use tap water, although most my oily friends use distilled, I&#39;m sure you can just use whatever you are comfortable with. No filter, wicks, or pads from what I can see. It&#39;s just the unit and a cord. You fill with water and then add drops of essential oils to the water. You have to buy the oils separately. I haven&#39;t timed it but it seems to run for at least 4 hours when filled to the max line. You can add less water for less time as well. Very easy to fill with water, you take off the decoration part, and the top plastic piece, add oil and water, and then replace those items, push the on button and you are ready to go. I just got this one, I&#39;ve used previous diffusers though (more expensive) and this one seems to have just as good of output as the others do. Plus Walmart will take the return if you aren&#39;t happy, unlike some of the other places.. so it really seems like a good deal. This one is on the smaller side for units though, so keep in mind that it&#39;s great for bedrooms and bathrooms.. probably not for the bigger areas in the house though.

Yes, the first color button you hit on it makes it go through all the colors. You press it once each time and it will reset to just the color you want. They is like a light and darker shade of green, red, purple, etc. I have bought 2 of these and LOVE them.

love the diffuser, love the look and colors. Does not hold a whole lot but lasts a decent amount of time. bought it a year and a half ago but it seems the motor is dying. it now makes a buzzing sound when turned on. otherwise love it.

Very disappointed.   This item's base has literally crumbled and fallen apart. Rendering this diffuser useless!

Defective and broken..

worked just fine for awhile. It is supposed to have an automatic shut off, but it stopped working. I have to watch it closely so it doesn't overheat when the fluid runs out.

It lasted a couple months then quit working. It also is meant for small rooms (bathrooms) and isn't very strong.
