Best show I’ve seen all year in Boston

by MALA on 12/7/19The Wilbur - Boston

First of all, his music is simply lovely. A lovely poet of our times with a large dose of L.A. vibes, 🌊 and an international flavah 🇻🇪 —an all star talented musical crew, who have made a tour that is somewhat floating in the connected space of being able to improv within what feels like a very carefully curated playlist and overall rhythm to frame the tour experience—most likely for themselves and audience, which makes a solid show. Well done! He’s a treat to watch dance and gesture, express his lyrics, and melodies.:) Smart show to have at Baby Wilbur, with those front seats removed—(curious who booked this show here?)...as Boston has and continues to rapidly change, it was an unexpected crowd... but it was annoying hearing people continue to request Carmensita and a million other things why can’t people dig what an artist presents; they still played a whole range of tunes from different albums—and they were still playing at 11:30 when I had to bounce to get my old bones to work in the AM!! Delectable set. Great, great show!🙏 👌🏽

    Love Devendra, but...

by Bree on 12/6/19L'Olympia - Montreal

Doors did not open at 6:30p more like after 7:30 with all of us in a line outside freezing. It was at the Corona instead and there was no coat rack or check in so we held all of our things -_-

    Unheard songs

by Daniel on 12/4/19The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I wish i had looked at the playlist before the concert. A little bit disappointed, he didnt play great hits (baby, carmensita, seahorse, shabop shalom, etc) mostly new songs.

    Intimate

    by J. on 10/22/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

I’ve wanted to see Devendra in concert for so long. What a treat! He’s incredibly charismatic. The band was on point. The Moore is big but the concert was intimate and lovely

    Utterly Amazing!!

    by Bobloblaw77 on 10/22/19Moore Theatre - Seattle

I'm a massive fan of Devendra Banhart but this was my first opportunity to see him live, and the show was outsanding, especially highlighting the new album. If you're a fan of his, you'll love the show, and if you love (alt)-folk, you'll be immensley delighted.

Saw Devendra at Port city music Hall in Portland Maine, a great venue, and a fantastic show that left us with lasting smiles and energy. This group of guys were such multitalented and personable performers. So fun to watch, and to groove with. One of the best shows I've seen in a while:) Love Devendra!

    Devendra Banhart was awesome!

    by DebbB1 on 6/23/13Sixth & I Historic Synagogue - Washington

The Banhart show was thoroughly enjoyable and the setting at Sixth and I added to the performance. I am in my 50s but my college age kids introduced me to Devendra a few years ago and now I am a big fan. After the show, I immediately went to his website to see where else he was playing. Hope he returns to Sixth & I soon!
