The best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is amazing in every possible way. It will definitely be my GOTY. There is so much to do and you will always find yourself laughing at the ridiculous jokes and little surprises you find along the way. It never gets boring killing monsters and psychos. Collecting crazy guns is addicting and this is all the content in just the BASE game. They have FREE events like the Halloween one and they’re always giving away gold gun keys etc. Can’t wait for more in the season pass. RIP Gonner Maleggies

Misleading ad....
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game based on pass experience. But we purchased it, because it was supposed to be updated for Next Gen gaming. But when we received the game, it was the same old format disc from back in the day. The ad was misleading. READ THE PACKAGING TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE BUYING THE RIGHT VERSION FOR XBOX SERIES X|S.

ton of fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first the graphics on this one seemed strange, because there was somewhat of a departure from the way it is drawn compared to the previous ones. It still has that madmax with a thick outline comic book feel to it, but it seems like they added a lot more detail and lighting/shading effects to characters. It looks good it just seemed different to me. I liked the overly simplistic drawing style of the previous ones a lot. After the first 10 minutes I was over it and now it doesn't bother me. The menu interfaces are all different and take some getting used to. I think the interface on BL2 was easier to navigate and compare items. Comparing guns and sorting what to keep or sell is downright painful sometimes now. There is also a learning curve figuring out the way fast travel works and they way missions are listed. Everything was spelled out for you better in BL2. Aside from all of these gripes the game is still great. New vault hunters to use, tons of new guns and gun brand names that basically of tell you what the gun can do or what to expect before you pick it up. I'm only about half way through the story right now and it doesn't feel monotonous at all. In fact I get surprised constantly by things I discover or by fighting new foes. Overall a great addition to the franchise.

My favorite game series
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Borderlands is my favorite series and I loved the first edition of the loot and shoot game. The second was also good and the 3rd should be as well. Pandora does become repetitive though after a while.

Fun romp
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn’t bad but wasn’t mind blowing. Story is pretty bad and it took me a while to warm up to the characters decent game to listen to a podcast and shoot and loot. It sucks that weapon slots are tied to story progression and that makes leveling a second character a chore. Performance on the Xbox one X is not too hot however I did get the game on the epic store on pc and the performance is MUCH BETTER. R3600, 2070 Super The DLCs are very good, much better than the core game.

Superior to BL2 in all ways...except the story
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a veteran of the previous Borderlands games, you can rest assured that this official 3rd incarnation is bigger and better than any of Gearbox's efforts before. More crazy guns, hi-res cell-shaded graphics, improved physics, and loads of humor to boot. The 4 new playable vault hunters all feel natural to the Borderlands universe; they cover a wider variety of class archetypes between their skill trees than ever before. The areas within the core game are sizable and easily surpass those of Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequel in scope. Unfortunately, the story of Borderlands 3 has taken a turn for the worse. Most agree that Tyreen and Troy aren't as strong villains as Handsome Jack was...and I won't waste time posting details or spoilers here, but by the end of the game the virtue-signaling SJWs have taken full control (read: there's lots of forced feminism that artificially plants female characters into positions of power). Borderlands 3's best dialogue and humor firmly take place within the side quests this time. As of this review, I also must point out that Borderlands 3 has its share of technical issues to iron out. Crashes, inventory glitches, frame-rate stutters (even on Xbox One X) and a laundry list of other small bugs bog down the experience slightly. If Gearbox can polish these problems out, I think Borderlands 3 is set to deliver on more quality looter-shooter action for years to come.

YOU NEED TO GET THIS GAME
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’ve been playing Borderlands since the very first game, then you understand how much Gearbox put work over the years to make every this Borderlands game better than the ones before it. It has better graphics, vehicles, jokes, and more variations of guns. It even has a system where you don’t even have to fight over the loot amongst your teammates (optional). If you like RPG, memes, and a gazillion different guns (e.g., guns with brains, guns with legs, guns that go pew pew) then this game is a must have.

A lot of fun, a lot of guns!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took me awhile to get used to it, but it was nice not mastering the game on day one and being bored. It’s nice that you can reset your skill trees whenever you want so you can try out different abilities on your characters. Fun game!
