I just tested it, in preparation for my grandchildren's visit.  It worked perfectly!  Attractive on my counter, doesn't take up too much space, and a competitive price. I have other Cuisinart appliances and trust the brand.  The kids will love it, and I see lots of fun ahead!

Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream machine

I love this machine so much that I bought a second one just so that we could make 2 flavors at the same time! 
I've discovered that the recipes that come with it are not very good,  so I started buying the commercial mixes. I use 2 cups of powder with 2 cups water and 2 cups milk. 
The secret to a good batch is to make sure the freezer bowl has been frozen for at least 24 hours, and once you mix up a batch it needs to be refrigerated for several hours before putting it in your machine.  
The soft serve is usually ready in 12-15 minutes. 
We had one batch that turned out like milkshakes and wouldn't firm up. I figured out that the bowl had not been frozen long enough. and the mix had not been chilled long enough. It was very good as a milkshake and the kids requested to have it again. 
I found that the mix in sprinkles work just fine as long as you follow instructions and put the tiny ones in the front container and the larger ones in the back 2 containers. 
I make up the mix and pour it into the machine then when it's ready the kids serve themselves adding in sprinkles as they want. The light in their eyes and the giggles make it worth every penny. 
The only things I don't like about this machine is that the lid is hard to get off. There are 2 buttons to push at the same time to release it  and they are in an awkward position.  There is an opening to pour in the mix and view it while it is churning.  I would like a clear plastic cover over it.

Fun Family Time, Great Machine

I bought this Cuisinart soft serve ice cream maker and we love! it. its just like when you go to those facy frozen yogurt shops. it's become our weekend treat. it does come with natural recipes to make healthy style We bought a couple of  different brands of the mix in flavor powder. we got the brand Frostline in Vanilla and Chocolate flavors and we got Dole brand Mango flavor they're all good. some peoples reviews said they did not know how to mix the powder ratio because the packages are made for industrial machines. we buy the big bulk size bags because they are a great value.  for the FROSTLINE brand  is lactose free but I do mix with 2 cups  low fat milk to 1 and 1/2 cups powder --- the DOLE brand is thicker so I mix 2 cups low fat milk to 3/4 powder mix. I mix in a stainless steel  bowl with just a wire whisk and put in the fridge for 15 minutes to chill a little then put into frozen ice cream maker bowl. takes perfect 25 to 30 minutes to get perfect soft serve.
you can use water instead milk if you like.  these directions make serving size for 8 to 10 cones easily.

Great ice cream maker. Enjoying be able to make homemade ice quickly. The recipes that came with the freezer are good. With a little creativity you modify the recipes and come up with more flavors. Follow the instructions for care and use. As recommended, we store the container in the freezer inside a 2 gallon freezer bag. After use I rinse the freezer container in cool water, dry it and return it to the freezer immediately.

Fast and delicious homemade ice cream.

Great fun for kids

Perfect size for my limited counter space and really does freeze up perfectly!  I make my own sugar free ice cream and hated dragging out the big freezer, ice and salt.  This checked all the boxes for me.

Grandchild approved!

So simple and fast to whip up homemade goodness. I previously tried a different model and hated it because there were so many gadgets to mix in toppings. This little mighty machine is easy to use and you can add mix-ins from the top about 5 minutes before ice cream is done forming. Love this machine!

Awesome easy to use ice cream maker!

We are enjoying our ice cream machine very much. And though it says 2 quart, I recommend only doing one quarter at a time. With 2 quarts, it didn't want to freeze.

Fun with Ice Cream!

Do not waste your money.  I read the reviews and knew this machine would be tricky.  I did all the "extras" to make sure it turned out right.  Despite making sure the bowl was frozen, and putting the mix in the freezer for 20 minutes prior to placing it in the machine, it STILL didn't work well.  There is approximately a 1 minutes window when the ice cream is "just right" before it becomes too hard to be dispensed.  Also, it does not make much at all.  It not worth the hassle.

Great idea but not a great product.
