We're building a clinical-backed future

We invested in a university-led clinical trial to quantify the impact of Essential for Women.

GOLD STANDARD

University-Led

Placebo-Controlled

Double-Blind

12 Weeks

94 Women
Ages 21-40

University-Led:

The trial was independently led by researchers at Auburn University.

Placebo-Controlled:

Participants were randomly assigned to take either two pills of Essential for Women or scent- and visually-matched pills with no active ingredients.

Double-Blind:

To prevent bias in the results, neither the participants nor the researchers knew who was receiving Essential for Women or a placebo.

12 Weeks:

After a literature review and discussion with experts, a duration of 12 weeks was selected to measure the product’s impact on healthy adult women.

94 Women, Ages 21-40:

A power analysis, which informs a suitable sample size to detect statistical significance, was performed to determine the number of participants. The age group was selected to match that of the women taking the product.

Creating evidence-based products has always been in Ritual’s DNA. But our Essential for Women clinical trial took it a step further by measuring the impact of two key nutrients. Most recently our clinical study was in Frontiers In Nutrition — a leading, peer-reviewed journal.

Our gold standard clinical study was published in Frontiers In Nutrition — a leading, internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journal.

Getting published in Frontiers in Nutrition means our clinical study passed the rigorous review of experts in nutrition. From the design and implementation, to the accuracy of our results, our clinical study was put through the quality control ringer.

Having a clinical study published in a peer reviewed journal is one of the highest awards scientific research can achieve.
