A: Yes, the kettle is BPA free.
submitted byAroma Housewares - 6 years agoBrand expertA: It says the parts that touch the water are BPA free. It has plastic parts like the lid, base, and handle which probably are not. The water part is steel, so BPA not a factor.
submitted byLibraryanna - 6 years agoA: The parts inside the kettle that touch the water are all steel -- except one part, which is the water level indicator window (which shows the water level from outside). This part is made of plastic as far as I can tell. And, it DOES touch the water. While it may be BPA free, I am not too happy about any plastic touching the hot water. I have added a question to the manufacturer on this forum for more info on that particular part. Looking forward to hearing from them.

Q: If you pick up the kettle when it first starts to boil will it automatically shut off
A: It shuts off when it boils, even if connected to the base.

Q: Can I rinse or wash the whole kettle (inside and outside) with water after removing it from the base? The bottom of the kettle has electrial inside. Guess the kettle cannot be immersed in water.

Q: Can you boil eggs in this or cook pasta?

Q: Can you put milk in this?

Q: does the stainless steele outside heat up when boiling water

Q: Repeat Use: At what temperature does the thermal cutoff switch reset so you can heat a second cup of water? Is it at least above 212F so hot water in the vessel does not prevent reboiling? Thank you.

If the has reached 212* and you try re-boiling the water it may switch off again as it is already at boiling point. Q: Is the kettle double walled? Will it hold the water heat? and for how long?
A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Aroma Housewares. With this unit it is not double walled or does it have any insulation on the sides of the kettle. Once kettle comes to a boil it will shuts off and temperature will start to drop. It can take up to 45-50 minutes for it to reach room temperature.
