Here in Massachusetts, we are celebrating Patriots Day - commemorating the battles of Lexington & Concord and the start of a revolution in 1775. While we remember the brave people who took up arms in 1775 we also honor those who carry that banner by serving today. In Boston, we also cheer on the competitors of the Boston Marathon! It's been beautiful weather and we hope everyone had a great day. 🇺🇸

Yesterday, Billie J. Farrell, the 77th Commanding Officer of USS Constitution, climbed up the towering pulpit as the keynote speaker and honoree at Old North Church & Historic Site 's "Lanterns and Luminaries" event. The evening was also highlighted by the departure of Paul Revere and William Dawes by horseback for their famous "Midnight Ride" to Concord & Lexington. Huzzah to CDR Farrell! 👏
