These Shades Grow MoldLucyI love the look of these shades but like many other reviews I'm seeing, mine started growing mold but it was also after the 180 day return window. IKEA, have you solved for this issue? Do you recommend an easy treatment spray to prevent this for the future? I look forward to hearing from you.

Difficult to get it to hang straight. Naked bulb shining through the bare spots is awful.KarenI can’t send this back because, unlike nearly any other retailer, IKEA doesn’t have free returns. The shade is lightweight, but since it’s so big, I’d pay more to ship it back than I paid for it. I need to find something to line it with so the bulb doesn’t shine right into my eyeholes. I also have to tape some pennies to the inside of the lip to make it hang evenly. I wouldn’t buy this if you don’t live next to a physical IKEA where you can return it for free.

Rattan lampElizabethThe Toraed pendant light is was for the most part easy to install. It’s also nice that when you purchase the Sunneby cord it allows you to decide the length of the pendant. I have placed mine over the main living space sofa that opens into the kitchen space. Creating a warm gentle light in both spaces.
It would also look great at the top of my staircase, if I already didn’t have a light there. It’s well made. Just the right size for one space.
If you have a large kitchen it may not be big enough and my look slight off it hung 2-3 over kitchen island or barstool space unless you kitchen is huge.
I often leave the light on as it gives off a lovely sophisticated glow to the open living area.

Crushed ShadeNicoleI was so excited to receive this item for my new home, but it was packed in a too short box, so was crushed and delivered to me broken and warped. I could not easily receive a replacement because I chose a shipping hub rather than my home address because IKEA cannot deliver to my home address. I was told a replacement could only be sent to a home address, but my address would not work. I ended up choosing a refund and would love to order again, but fear the same outcome. Too sad, because I love it in person as well as what I saw in pics.

What is sedge (or seagrass)?
Sedge (or seagrass) grows naturally in South-East Asian coastal areas. For our products, we mainly use cultivated sedge from field areas that have previously been flooded by the sea, making them unsuitable for rice cultivation. Sedge grows well in salty soils and even helps cleanse them. After harvest, the plant is left to dry in the sun making it a hardwearing fiber ideal for weaving or braiding products with beautiful color variations, like baskets and mats.
