Horrible horrible PamTwenty four tiny screws to screw in to HARD wood with no HOLES to guide the screws on the sides of the basket. Rip off - I have bought many other baskets just as sturdy and WAY easier to put together. Stay away from but something else 1
Good product but minor issues. BrookeNice overall but some of the screw holes weren’t drilled out. Also, the stickers on the bottom were non releasable so they were nearly impossible to remove. I needed the bottom to be the top for what I was using this for. Fairly easy to assemble even without holes drilled because wood was soft so not that bad.4
Nice enough… once assembled :SChaseCan hardly say more than the other recent reviews. In short: had to drill my own holes; screws were easy to strip; regular Philips doesn’t work (needs an ikea screwdriver kit — there is a head included in the set which is skinnier, and fits the screws better, preventing stripping); took so many screws; is more expensive than (reassembled) competitors (‘allowing doers to get more done’)… happy with the finished product but it took an hour or more to: red roll and realize I needed my ikea screwdriver kit. Frustrating experience. Hopefully they go back to the old design that others seem to speak of so fondly
Also, construction note: the bottom is made of 4 boards going longways. Underneath these four boards that make the bottom of the box on the inside, is a skinny board on either (small) side. The significance is this: if you have it on a shelf (say a cube organizer) and it sticks out either side, every time you pull the crate out, it doesn’t slide out; it catches on the back lip! 2
Wish I had read the reviews first. AmariI'm sitting here in a mess of "wood" scraps because I couldn't even be bothered to go buy additional screws, I shouldn't have to either. I have bought these before and assembled just fine but these are a mess. You can't even screw these screws in completely with a drill, they run into the nails already in stapled into the wood. So ridiculous. I'm mad I paid for what feels like a bad joke. 1
Wooden crateRobinThis is a great size and nice quality however they changed the assembly process. Instead of 8 screws it now takes 20! Leaving more room for error and poor fit. Please go back to side panels being pre assembled !! For the higher price it should at least be easier not harder to get together. Disappointing and may have me looking for cheaper, already assembled version elsewhere. 3
Bad news design RachelThese boxes used to be a breeze to assemble, but like all of the newer reviews, whomever did the pre drilling is not following the design correctly.
The holes are completely misaligned and weren't drilled through all the way
We had to buy new screws for it and drill our own holes.1
Assembly IssuesJulieWe bought two of these. It is not possible to put the crate together with just a Phillips screwdriver as suggested on the instructions.
The drill holes that are present for the side panels do not align properly. There are no drill holes present to attach each of the individual end pieces. There is barely an impression in the wood where the drill hole should be.
It's not worth the effort to put this together when we can buy a comparable crate that is already assembled for a lower price.
We do not object to assembling products if they are properly made and easy to assemble.
We are returning these.

Assembly is now a disasterKellyWe had purchased 4 of these in the past and loved them as a sturdy, easy way to keep toys organized. As multiple reviewers have now mentioned, the new assembly process is an absolute disaster. Multiple screws stripped, difficult getting screws into wood even with strong adults assembling, lack of pre-drilled holes on the side. You name it, it stinks. We are going to try to make these work by purchasing our own screws to assemble, but I wish that we did not have existing boxes that we are trying to match or I would return the whole thing. Not worth it. 1
Poor Quality, Long Assembly TimeZacharyBudget 45 minutes to assemble one crate if your using a hand screw driver. Only 4 of the 28 screws you have to sink have pilot holes. Out of 3 crates ordered 1 could not be assembled as the pilot holes on the bottom board didn't not line up properly. Fit and and finish of the wood itself notably worse than the Knagglig's I have from a few years back.1
Misaligned holes, easily stripped screwsAnonymous reviewerThe 24x small screw holes were all misaligned and not pre-drilled fully. Additionally, the sizing of the boards didn't line up, so it ends up looking pretty asymmetric and lopsided.
I wouldn't buy this product again. The screws stripping easily meant you only had a few chances to try and line up everything perfectly, only to realize it would always be somewhat uneven.1
New Design is TerribleAnonymous reviewerThe previous version came with 5 panels and went together easily. The redesign requires you to attach each side piece using a total of 24 small screws. Quality of the end product is the same as the previous model aside from the visible screws on the sides. 1
Good vibe, misaligned premade holes SkyeI like the overall vibe and functionality, but the premade holes were pretty misaligned so it was difficult to put them together properly. 3
Zinc screws stripChristinaZinc screws are striping so easily as I assemble these (with very low drill torque). Terrible hardware choice. And the screw heads will interfere with the box function if they strip and don’t go in all the way. Have bought many in the past and never will again.2
Wood boxLeslieSucker for a box with handles. Is heavy duty and holds weight well.5
disaster, now 28 screws instead of 8, holes misalignedDayaI bypassed re-reading reviews because I had some of these from Dec 2023 which were fine. What a mistake! I ordered 12 more in July 2023 which have been a disaster. Each crate now requires 28 screws (previously 8) and most of the holes are misaligned. The screws on the outside are ugly but that is the least of the problems. They are torture to assemble and come out all crooked. The wood is thinner and rougher than the old model, with many visible flaws/scratches/nicks. Expect 1-2 hours to assemble each one depending on how many new holes you have to create to fix misalignments, and each will still be somewhat crooked despite your best efforts. This is the worse experience I have had with Ikea products in 20 years.1
great sturdy little catchall , and stackableRebeccaI have a couple of these. Easily stackable, easy to put together, and sturdy. I love the size, too, as they fit in a small area but hold a lot.
Planning to get more to store potatoes and onions in the kitchen since the design will allow them to breathe. I have one for dog toys and that sits by the front door for mail.5
Goes great with my IVAR stuff. A loose staple but I fixed it.JamesGot it on clearance - a loose staple but I fixed it.4
Fruit crateJasminI love this little crate, I have used my smaller size as a fruit basket & helps soften the look on my stone counters.5
Knagglig crateStephenVery good small storage; easy to assemble 5
BeautifulElizabethFits perfectly with IKEA bookshelves I’ve purchased over the years5
