The room had everything, including coffee/tea making facilities, safe box, tv. Well designed for the size. Very comfortable bed. The lounge area with coffee/tea and croissants, where one can wait if the room is not yet ready, is a bonus

A splash of colour and history in the heart of Catalonia

Girona Train station offers direct links to bustling Barcelona and the picturesque province of Portbou. Booking.com offers a wide range of accommodation options and deals in Girona and around Catalonia.
Beautiful city full of life and amazing food! We loved strolling the streets finding new corners and hidden places. If you come here, go to Xibarri. They have the best burgers and desserts! It is not a typical tourist city. That is what we love about it the most.

Loved it all.
Loved it all. Food and drink by the river, walking on the walls, the Jewish quarter, its manageable size. Hotel in exactly the easiest position near the town centre and the station and bus station. We used both.

Girona is a gorgeous old city, small so everything is within walking distance. The food and drink were excellent and reasonably priced.
I would recommend booking restaurants. We travelled inland to see a dormant volcano, medieval towns, and stunning landscapes and ate at a roadside restaurant with the locals. Another day we went to the Costa Brava and walked part of the Camo De Ronda, it was stunning. Took the train to Barcelona for the day, too crowded for our liking. Good train service both north to the Pyrenees and south to Barcelona.
We loved our stay. We will be back.

Fantastic place for a cycling holiday.
Fantastic place for a cycling holiday. So many other cyclists, cafes and bike shops make it feel like it was made for cyclists. Roads are buttery smooth and once you get out of town there is very little traffic. So many different scenic routes to choose from.

Second time staying here.
Second time staying here. The apartment had everything I needed (except bluetooth sound on tv)) and arrival / departure was hassle free. The arrival pack of the cleaning essentials is great for flyers and the street balcony was lovely to air the place (and dry cycking gear) and also watch old town activity. Will be back.

Getting around the Jewish quarter was easy to navigate using the river as guide . So many little alley ways all end up along the river and you see so many old historic buildings. Very quaint and peaceful, always felt safe.
The Jewish museum is a must do if you want to learn about the history of Girona. WILL COME BACK AGAIN.
Location perfect for me as just a few minutes walk from the railway station and about ten minutes walk to the start of the old town area. Hotel rather dated but very clean and quiet. Staff very helpful and managed to change my booking for me without charge when my plans had to change at short notice due to the French railway strikes. Room very small but a large lounge on the ground floor if you needed space to sit and relax.
Recently refurbished apartment. Everything is in good condition.
Spacious living area. We had 5 bikes with no space issues
Top location right in the old town next to restaurants, etc
Office is 50 m away and staff were very helpful for checkin, bag storage, ordering taxi to airport etc
Has a washing machine which was great for cycling kit
There is a lift which is essential as flat is on 4th floor and stairs are narrow
We stayed here for three nights. I chose it over the old town options because we had a car and parking is not an issue at Hotel Palau. I would avoid eating breakfast or dinner at the hotel, there are so many great options for half the price of the hotel a ten minute walk away, but we did enjoy the snacks and drinks available 24-7.. We also enjoyed the patio and the beds were exceptionally comfortable.
This hotel is in the best part of town, with such great walking streets full of shops and restaurants. The owners of the hotel were lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was great, try the fresh juice!!! They even stored our luggage for free the entire day while we went to Figueres. Beautiful, quiet, clean and the best bed we had in Spain! Don't walk, run to this beautiful oasis!
For the price it was perfect honestly
Very clean , comfortable, helpful host ,right in the old town ,very good internet and parking also very near
During my stay in Catalonia it was by far the best place I've stayed and also the cheapest
If I ever come back I'll make sure to stay there again
The location of the hotel is great. Minutes walk from a great square with bars/restaurants and the old town. Our room was a superior one with a balcony overlooking the street. The pool area is lovely and for that alone is well worth staying at the hotel for.
It may only be a 3 star but this was perfect for a boys cycling weekend. 10 minute walk from the old town but otherwise well located, rooms were great, breakfast was really good and the pool was a nice touch.
Hotel has secure bike storage
It's our 3rd time in this hotel we always come back. The only thing is that you have to walk 15/20 min to the old town but its okay. Modern clean and friendly staff and very important they have a safe place to leave the bikes.
amazing location and friendly staff. Hotel facilities were wonderful especially considering I’m a cyclist and the hotel has many amenities catered towards cycling. I would definitely recommend and I’ll be returning again.
Great location, very clean, friendly and helpful staff, hotel gives a discount on parking at a parking garage a few minutes walk away. There is a restaurant for breakfast (I think €13) but we didn’t eat there.
Very close to the city, about 5-7 minutes drive - best choice if you travel with a car. The parking is absolutely free and big enough. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel is nice, clean and quiet.
For my first trip to Spain, this was the best accommodation over my 10 day trip! Incredible feeling in this ancient stone perfectly appointed room in a perfect location!
Definitely a hotel to stay at. Kind and helpful staff, close to the bus/train station and old town of Girona. Rooms have all the necessary amenities and are clean.
