Super-safe with HZO Protection

The new PocketBook Touch HD 3 e-reader is waterproof from the inside out with HZO Protection™. This provides peace of mind when reading on the beach, while taking a bath or even in the rain. A microns-thin coating reliably protects the internal electronics of the device from potential damage caused by exposure to moisture or liquids. With HZO Protection™, the e-reader is empowered with IPX7 capabilities, allowing the device to be immersed in fresh water to a depth of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes with no harmful effects.

Exceptionally harmonious reading

The device is equipped with a multisensor E Ink CartaTM HD screen (1072 ? 1448, 300 DPI), which guarantees real book-like contrast and sharpness of the e-book page.
The SMARTlight technology provides a smooth light balance for harmonious reading day and night. Thanks to advanced adjustment, it is possible to adjust not only the brightness, but also the colour temperature of the frontlight. The automatic mode of SMARTlight is set by default and works depending on the time of day and takes into consideration human biorhythms. Those who prefer to customize the frontlight settings themselves will appreciate the available manual mode. There is no need to stop reading to change the brightness level or colour temperature. Simply adjust the SMARTlight directly from the reading app, on an e-book page, by swiping up or down on the touchscreen. The user may also create an unlimited number of automatic SMARTlight setting templates and switch from one template to another.

Maximum opportunities with tiny device

Integrated audio features are available via a micro USB audio adapter and Bluetooth wireless connection. The PocketBook Touch HD 3 supports both mp3 and m4b audio formats, providing a convenient opportunity to listen to and bookmark your audio books. The Text-to-Speech function converts text into voice and allows the e-reader to read aloud any text file from the device’s supported formats.
The PocketBook Touch HD 3 features the new PocketBook product design to substantially improve the portability of the device. Weighing only 155 g and measuring 161.3 × 108 × 8 mm, the e-reader fits a standard jeans pocket and even the tiniest ladies’ handbag. The product is available in attractive Spicy Copper and Metallic Grey colours.

With a large internal memory of 16 GB, the user may store a digital library and audio book collection twice as large as previous PocketBook devices. The PocketBook Touch HD 3 supports 17 popular book formats as well as 4 graphic formats (JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF).
The powerful Dual Core (2×1 GHz) processor ensures a prompt response of all apps and services. With built-in Wi-Fi, Dropbox PocketBook, Send-to-PocketBook and PocketBook Cloud services, the delivery of any e-content onto the device is fast and easy without connecting to a PC. The included library contains 97 preinstalled free e-books in 14 languages, including 7 in German and 8 in English. Reading with the preinstalled Abbyy Lingvo® dictionaries will help to improve foreign language skills with ease and pleasure.
With the built-in g-sensor and the automatic rotation feature, the user can choose the most convenient way to hold the e-reader – in vertical or horizontal orientation.
Equipped with a cover sensor, the user is able to use the convenient “sleep function” to save battery life in combination with one of the PocketBook accessories compatible with this particular model.
