I've been using my chair as my regular desk chair and it is working out great. It did take a little getting used to not being able to "roll" but once I got over the habit of rolling it works great.

I dont think it has hydraulics, but I do think it locks upright.

I think it would be of better use,as an office chair,than as a living room chair.

It would be somewhat low for office use .

My desk is at a height where it's possible, but the chair isn't on wheels, so kinda awkward to get the chair close enough. Personally, I find it comfortable to have my feet up and the laptop on my lap.

I personally think it would be too low to be used as an office chair and the seat height is not adjustable. You could however put your laptop in your lap with your feet up on the ottoman and surf away.

You could, but it is stationary (no wheels) and I would expect a height adjustable office chair to be a better bet.

Can we use this recliner as an office chair? I mean placing the laptop on the desk and surf for couple of hours...

I'd wanted a chair like this forever, so when it went to $100, I jumped on it. VERY comfortable chair and ottoman. We are not small people, but we have no problem with this. I like it much better than the $400 recliner that used to be in its place. Takes a bit of time to put together, but all in all, a good chair.

Decent Chair

I have no regret purchasing this product. It was easy to assemble and is sturdier than what I had planned to buy later at a higher price. It looks much better next to me than it does viewing it online. When reclined back, it's comfortable enough to where I could likely fall asleep in it. If one is strapped for cash, when purchasing a decent piece of furniture, and wants to relax, purchasing this recliner and ottoman is the way to go.
