About

Yung Bleu In Concert

Few rappers are as up front about their heartbreak as Young Bleu. The 24-year-old wears his emotions on his sleeve, and this commitment to telling the stories of the times he's been wronged or cheated has brought new life to his stage presence. His tangible swagger and relatable lyrics led Kevin Gates to tab him as the special guest on every leg of his Luca Brasi 3 tour, and Gates even hopped on Bleu's "Ice On My Baby" remix. "We were both fans of each other for a long time, so the vibe was organic and the timing was perfect since we are going on tour together," Bleu told Complex. While Bleu cut his teeth on gritty DIY rapping, he's quickly developed stylistically for a more complete sound that seamlessly adapts his hazy, impassioned deliveries to the big stage.

Yung Bleu Background

Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Yung Bleu first started rapping at age 11. Before he had access to a studio, he would record vocals on an old Nokia phone while riding the bus home from school. In 2013, he dropped his ‘Hello World' mixtape on SoundCloud, gaining traction in hip-hop circles and eventually catching the attention of Boosie Badazz, who heard Bleu spitting bars on an Instagram post. The Baton Rouge rapper/impresario signed Yung Bleu to his Badazz Music Syndicate and helped Bleu drop his now five-part ‘Investments' mixtape series, effectively putting him on the mainstream map. The most recent installment, ‘Investments 5,' features a big-name collab with Lil Durk on "Smooth Operator," Rich Homie Quan on "Boss Ya Life Up," and Boosie himself on "Never Going Back." In 2017, Bleu signed with Columbia Records, and his first single with the label, "Miss It," hit the Billboard Hip-Hop Most Added chart. As his career continues to progress, Yung Bleu's ascent as a rapper has seen him more deeply committed to telling stories in the lovelorn R&B ethos of his idol, Luther Vandross. And his latest EP is, in fact, titled ‘Bleu Vandross.'

So disappointed he postponed his Dallas 9/19 show last minute to perform at H.E.R. ‘s Music festival which was great exposure and I was happy he did it but 10/15 was the new date and canceled that show just a day before . so disappointed, been a fan since 2017… my family from Bama put me on early and love his music… I’m just a fan and love his music.. can wait to see you in Atlanta November 11.. I’m a fan so imma make sure I see him at his first and every concert after that

    Amazing, but short lived.

by Kathryn on 10/9/21Ace of Spades - Sacramento

He’s amazing live! Everyone was having a great time, but he only performed for 25-30 minutes before they announced the concert was over & meet and greets were starting. There didn’t appear to be any technical issues, it was just a really short show. For people who traveled to see it like I did, kind of annoying.

    Absolutely Love Bleu

by Des on 10/3/21House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I’m a huge fan of Yung Bleu and have seen him perform live twice before. I chose to purchase my ticket the day of since I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to go initially. It was no lines with entering which was a plus. Bleu did not disappoint. The only thing I didn’t like was the setup of the venue . If you’re not on the floor , it’s poles pretty much blocking the view of the stage. Also the artists could’ve started on time . Other than that I had a great time.

    Meh

by Amieeshaw on 9/19/21House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

It wasn’t a good show. He came on two hours after it started and did 4 songs not even full songs and left. People waited fo meet him and were told he had already left. The 10 thousand opening acts before him put on a better show

    Hit Records

by San on 8/30/21Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

First stop of the tour, seemed like the show still needs some work. The performance might need some rehearsals.
