We loved the Bar and the master mixologists. The room was beautiful and the expresso machine was a magnificent touch. Snacks provided and cold brew coffee and local soda in room fridge. Can not wait to return to The Spectator!♥️

Dear Linda, Greetings from downtown Charleston and The Spectator Hotel! Thank you very much for this 5 out of 5 rating and for choosing to stay in our luxury boutique property when you had such a wide selection of hotels to choose from. We are delighted to see that you loved everything about our hotel, from the Nespresso machine and La Colombe canned coffees in your room, to the snacks provided throughout the day. We are also pleased that you found time to enjoy a drink in our award-winning crafted cocktail bar, a popular spot to relax at the end of the day, or a great venue for a pre-dinner drink. It was lovely having you as our guest and we too cannot wait for you to return. In the meantime, please feel free to recommend us to your friends and loved ones! Warm regards, Carlo CarrocciaGeneral Manager

everything about our stay was great - the hotel is first class, my only negative comments is the poor quality toilet paper.

We split our long weekend between Charleston and Savannah, and stayed at the Spectator the first night. I wish now we would've stayed there all 4 nights. By far, this hotel goes out of its way to make the guests feel like they belong and are welcome. From the welcome drink, to the room, to the way were greeted every single time we walked into the lobby - I've never found a hotel who made you feel so welcome and not just a body moving through. Our butler, basically walked us to our dinner location and then proceeded to map out 2 walking tours of Charleston, highlighting special areas. It was amazing. And again, we stayed at 2 other hotels - both of which were lovely but couldn't touch the friendliness and concentration that was put on us at the Spectator.

My new favorite hotel! In a world where exceptional customer service is lacking, The Spectator hits it out of the ballpark. We found everyone we dealt with to be professional, friendly and willing to help with anything and everything. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants Charleston has to offer. The bar in the lobby is so cozy and a great spot to grab a drink before heading out for the evening. They put out a complimentary cheese plate for guests to enjoy every afternoon at 5pm. Our two queen room was spacious and nicely appointed. The complimentary coffee, snacks and beverages in the room were appreciated. We looked forward to seeing what little "treat" would be left for us at turndown service each evening (think tasty shot of liquor in a "chocolate shot glass"). Our butler, Chuck, was a wealth of knowledge, available for any questions we had, and a true Southern Gentleman. Can't wait to return!!
