So, we were excited to be able to purchase at least one new kayak. So, now we have 3...with grandkids, we wanted the extra kayaks so they can join in the fun with us. Maybe in the spring will order yet another one. We LOVE our Lifetime Kayaks...so much fun, and we use ours at least 3-4 days a week during the spring, summer, and fall.

I took it out on calm water and i had a great time. The paddels that come with it coukd be a little longer so you will get wet from water dripping on you. I had no seat back and had to finish kayaking without anything to support myself. I have kayaked many times in the past and there was no undue strain or tension on the seat back. I would expect at some point there MIGHT be undue strain on the seat back and then do both pins fly out? I suppose you get what you pay for. I could probably fix it but I would expect it or the other side would pop loose again at another time.

I ordered my kayak online, and when it was delivered, through no fault of Lifetime, there was minor damage. One of the loop plug holes, where a rope handle is attached to, had been sheared off. It is a threaded piece that can be easily fixed. I called lifetime, and without hesitation, they sent me a new loop plug hole at no cost. I received the replacement part within three business days. The best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time! I love the kayak! The included paddle is of good quality. The handle cut out in the center makes it easy to carry a moderate distance. Seems well built and durable.

I bought a SUP strap for carrying which redistributes the weight which makes it easier for me to carry from the car to the water. I took the kayak to the lake last weekend. It is very stable and maneuvers with less effort than my old sit-in kayak. This is an excellent kayak for use on calm waters. The only downside I will mention is that Walmart did not have the kayak available for pick up in the store. Walmart customer service was fantastic in arranging a refund and refund but I was told this item comes from a third party vendor therefore a replacement couldn't be arranged. I noticed how the employee from the delivery company handled the kayak when he came to pick it up for return and I have no doubt in my mind they caused the damage when they delivered originally.

I did a lot of research and liked what I read about the day lite. The 8' fits inside my Accord or on top; I store it standing up in my garage. It is a bit slower than the long, thin SOTs but that doesn't bother me. I've used it at least 20 times in the past month; in a large lagoon and a creek/lake at the state park. Comfortable. Easy to manouver in the water. I use a SUP carry strap to go between car and boat ramp. I'm going to be adding a carry handle to the rear. I use two dish drying cushions as cushions on the seat:) It's the right weight. It has a large weight capacity....
