Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author, Penelope Ward, comes a new novelette.

The first time I met Jade Jameson, I lost my words and accidentally dropped a beer bottle, smashing it to the ground. The Broadway star sister of my brother's wife had paid us a surprise visit on Christmas. Quite simply, she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen; I was mesmerized.

I'd made a fool of myself, though, and to make matters worse, my girlfriend was standing right there when it all happened. Jade went back to New York, and we didn't cross paths again for a year - until one night when a Facebook notification lit up my screen, setting off a chain of events that would change my life forever.

Jaded and Tyed is a 16,000 word novelette. (The length is shorter than a novella.)

Short and Sweet

And so this review will be. Love the author, love the narrators. I enjoyed seeing/hearing neighbor dearest and Chelsea again. Only flaw - too short but then they all are. This short book won’t disappoint.

Loved it

One of my favorite stories from Penelope Ward. Loving Jade was easy and Tyler is to hit to handle.

Annoying, boring, and cloying

As much as I love Jacob Morgan, I hated this novella. It’s mostly social media pussy footing between Jade and Tyler, or talking about feelings.
Annoying: even though the narrators change voices when Jade or Tyler are speaking, the audio prefaces each social media text exchange with “Jade”, then “Tyler,” then “Jade,” .... gah! Distracting and completely unnecessary.
Boring: how can a two hour novella move so slowly? They talk ad nausea about depressing stuff.
Cloying: let’s play up Jade’s depression/loss and then have Tyler do super cute things to make us all say “awww,” Like showing up in a zebra snuggy or planning a retreat in his treehouse. Barf.
The summary made it sound like this would be fun. It starts with him dropping his beer because he meets hotly Jade when he’s standing right in front of his girlfriend. A recipe for romantic comedy, right? Nope. This was not fun and was like a dull Hallmark.

OMG!!! 🔥🔥

Jacob and Andi together is combustible!! Jade and Tyler's story gave me goosebumps. Short and sweet with a hint of sexual tension. I love these 2 together. I do wish this story was longer but listening to Jacob/Zachory and Andi together is so satisfying. They have so much chemistry and passion together when they narrate.

I love Penelope Ward and when her books come to Audible it's like winning the lottery. I always look for her books.

Family HEA in the Neighbor Dearest Universe

Set in the world of Neighbor Dearest, Jaded and Tyed tells the funny, sweet and oh so sexy story of Tyler, Damien's brother, and Jade, Chelsea's sister. Jade and Tyler met on Christmas at Damien and Chelsea's home. Tyler promptly made a fool of himself, getting tongue-tied, dropping a beer bottle on the floor and doing it all in front of his longtime girlfriend. While they are both very attracted to each other, he is taken and she plays it cool because honestly if there was ever something between them and it went wrong, future Christmas would be awkward as hell. And they both know it... That, however, didn't stop either of them from stocking the other on social media. After finding out she was dating a cheating bastard, Jade accidentally sent Tyler a friend request on facebook. But an online friendship was ok, right? Right. Getting to know each other just increased the attraction they felt and when circumstances brought them back together, the inevitable happened. Fate can be a bitch. But sometimes, she just might make things right. A hilarious read, sweet for sure, and sexy as always. #friendstoloversromance #happyending #penelopewardromance #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Short but sweet

I loved this little short story. It would have been perfect as a full length story but great just the same. Tyler and Jade have such chemistry. Their reaction to each other is the stuff of dreams that we all wish we could experience once in our lives. This story made me wish I was 20-30 something again with the hope of love all around.

I love Penelope Ward’s books. I’ve listened to approximately a dozen of her books, not including her stories with Vi Keeland. I can't wait to download the next book!

Literally the most annoying audiobook.

Their online message exchanges are SO ANNOYING. They preempt these exchanges by announcing who’s speaking...so basically the whole audio book is literally “Tyler” “Jade” “Tyler” “Jade”....we know the difference between the two because the narrator changes his/her voice!!!! OMG.
