I've been a ham radio/shortwave listener for 30 years, so I've had some insight on this technology. For the price and size, this radio is a great deal.  The radio is very lightweight, and it picks up stations all over the world, even with the telescopic antenna.  I bought this to take camping and on backpacking trips where I want to keep my pack lightweight as possible and still have a decent radio.  Overall I was very pleased.

Great compact shortwave/am/fm for the price

I purchased this handheld radio for listening to local FM talk and music stations while sitting at my desk, to have something I can take with me when I travel and for throwing into my bug out bag to have for emergencies. It's a solid built, ultra-portable option for those who are looking for a good quality radio.

It comes packed with a carrying case, earbuds, an antenna extention wire and an AM antenna. The very handy ETM lets you scan all available stations, and then presets those so that you can quickly switch between them without having to search the whole spectrum. From there, you can further fine tune it by setting your favorites to memory.

The reception is excellent. I live in what I would call a semi-rural area of Tucson, AZ and out of the 8 stations I set to memory, 7 of them get perfect reception...with the antenna all the way down! This test was done inside my house. Of course, reception becomes even better after pulling the antenna up.

I tried out the earbuds it came with and got very adequate stereo sound with them. I have yet to try out the AM antenna, as I don't listen to much AM radio but I may try using it at a baseball game for listening while I watch.

Overall, I love this little radio and am very happy with my purchase. Tecsun really hit a home run with this product.

Awesome Portable Radio

Little on small size sw radio, good Quality!

Good compact sw radio

Not bad for its size. Good for casual shortwave listening. Its sensitivity is in the same range as the Tecsun 310ET but is missing features needed for hard core listening. It fits perfectly in my carrier for my  handheld radios so I am more likely to have it with me when out and about. It does not hae an internal MW antenna but has worked well on MW dxing with both the TecsunAN-48x antenna and the and Grundig AN-200 MW loop. Its selectivity is not as good as the PL 310ET and seems to be overloaded easily by the AN-48x antenna. Overall it is not a bad radio and does what I got it for.

This is a good receiver, but, the little antenna on top gets lose, and the connection becomes intermittent. I just set it aside. I thought it went through batteries pretty quick.
