I have had this dishwasher for quite a while and I love it. I works great. The only downfall is that you can't use your sink while washing for about 2 hours but as long as you set it to wash during a time you don't need your sink you will be set.

We have had our Danby for over 11 years now and other than ordering new cutlery baskets (the bottoms seem to melt over time), we have had no issues with it - highly recommend.  We are buying one for our daughter and her wife who have one child and one on the way so it will be great for them too as they don't have the room for a built in.

Purchased about a year ago.  Holds a 9" round Corelle plate but not much silverware.  Plastic tubing is disappointing and I wonder how long it will last.  Can't get the power cord back in the storage compartment and it's hard to get the water connection in and out too. It's very heavy and hard to move for an older person.  It does the job but recently I noticed my silverware and glasses were not clean.  My dishes are rinsed clean before I put them in, so I'm pretty sure it's because I purchased a different brand of soap.  I'm going to go back to the W-M brand.  I don't use it a lot, but I'm glad to have it for those times when I don't feel like dishwashing.  I do recommend this item but wish they had included better made drain hoses.  Finally, the delivery guy, brought it up five steps and into my kitchen by flipping the box over and over.  I don't think he was supposed to bring it in that way.  So because he was flipping it, the little bit of water (rusty colored, btw) that was in it, was all over the unit inside and out, so I had to wipe it all down.

Bought this 3-4 years ago. It's a little slow at 2 1/2 hrs without my kitchen sink when it's running, and needing to be around to turn off the water, but a great solution for a compact MIL apartment. It also has the added benefit of functioning like an extra bit of counter. It would be pretty small for a family, but is workable for a single or couple. The wheels are pretty good quality, but especially as they've gotten hair and such in them, I have to be careful when rolling it or they sometimes scratch the laminate floor. I would also say that the way they expect you to load the silverware is a joke, because no one has silverware thin enough to fit through the slots, but you just take the lid off the silverware holder and it works fine. It did wear out as a consequence, but I found a replacement online for like $11.

I like the idea that it has a built-in softener,  but no one seems to carry the salt. I just discovered it is available on Amazon, though over-priced and not Prime-eligible.

Unfortunately, it has been starting to act up. First it started stopping because it wouldn't drain properly. I'm sure that is related, at least in part to the extreme hard-water of having a basement kitchen (I REALLY wish someone sold the softener salt around here, Walmart, anyone), but I eventually cleared that up with a youtube trick of periodically using baking soda and vinegar to clean the tubes. Just a few weeks after fixing that problem, though, and I'm getting the same stopped cycle with the dry-cycle blinking, albeit late enough in the cycle that the dishes are probably clean and rinsed, but now there is no water in the bottom so I don't know what the problem is. 

I see that Walmart now sells insurance on it, which might be worthwhile, but since my sister had such coverage through another company, and yet has been without a refrigerator for over a month in the heat of summer, I would research it really well since it has been a horrible nightmare for her. She can't even go buy a new one unless she loses the value of the insurance they paid for since they have to keep the broken one until the insurance company sorts it out.

Overall, the machine works well and is compact for a small kitchen.

After only two years, the racks rusted. It arrived w/o paperwork so we have no warranty. I used a repair kit to seal the rust... Five years later, more rust!
Replacement racks are not made anymore, unless you purchase a comparable rack,  from a third party and over $80!

Product arrived a day early, which "seems" great, except we had scheduled a day off to be home when the delivery was expected. We happened to actually be there when FedEx rolled up. We commented to the driver that the box seemed a little beat up. We unpacked the dishwasher and noticed it was very damp both inside and out. Even the owners manual, which was inside a plastic bag and in the washer, was so wet it almost fell apart. We did manage to read the manual, and set up the dishwasher. We loaded dishes, added detergent,  and plugged it in. Upon turning it on, we noted that all the lights were flashing red in unison. We pressed start, waited 10 minutes, turned it off, and re-plugged it in, but still got flashing lights. We tried different cycle settings, we made sure the water was on and hot, we checked the various additive receptacles and the door closure, but alas, still flashing red lights. A return was initiated online and the product was returned to the nearest Walmart store the next day. We had a Maytag Portable for 15 years, and the only issue was a broken caster wheel. Hopefully this is a rare occurrence. Perhaps somewhere between China, Ohio, and Oregon some water got into the electronics. It wasn't even raining here the day of delivery.

Brown fluid  in the botom of the shipping box when we opened it. Also some kind of crystals or pellets all over the box bottom.
When we hooked it up and turned it on it slowly began to flood the kitchen floor. Same crystals all over the floor.
Danbury unreachable.
This dishwasher was clearly  one that had been returned by somebody else and resold as NEW by Walmart.  Am removing Walmart from my chices of Retailers to buy from.  I am now afraid to buy anything from Walmart.
Still waiting for refund payment 4 days later.
Did NOT meet my expectation of Walmart.

New or Not New

Excited to receive this dishwasher the day before Thanksgiving. I hooked it up, turned it on and it flooded my floor! I Che kid the hoses and the were connected fine. The water never made it inside the machine. They say it comes with water 8nside due to an t being tested at the factory - someone didn't do their job! So disappointed- will be returning this immediately!
