First Look at the 7-Eleven x Nike SB Dunk Low
A Big Gulp of colorful convenience store style.
International convenience store chain 7-Eleven and Nike SB have teamed up for a special SB Dunk Low. 2020 has already been an eventful year on the collaborative front for Nike‘s skate subdivision as it’s tapped everyone from Ben & Jerry’s to Travis Scott and Strangelove Skateboards. However, this 7-Eleven partnership has produced what’s undeniably the most unexpected SB Dunk yet.
Providing a Big Gulp-sized helping of 7-Eleven style, this leather SB Dunk applies orange on the heel, green on the midfoot and red on the toebox, a three-tone look that’s true to 7-Eleven’s signature palette. 7-Eleven’s logo is embroidered in full color on the lateral heel, and a tri-colored Nike spellout hit graces the heel tab. White Swooshes and white padded tongues with a final touch of branding bring some normalcy to the design, which is rounded off with a white midsole and gum outsole. The shoes are also accompanied with a three-pack of extra laces that match the upper’s hues, each of which features striped tips.
In an interesting piece of SB history, a SB Dunk High nicknamed “Big Gulp” with a color scheme resembling 7-Eleven’s colors released in 2008, but was not an official 7-Eleven collaboration like this Dunk appears to be. Release information has yet to be announced, but these Dunks are reportedly a Japan exclusive. Get a first look here and expect more details soon.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, Starwalk has readied an HBX-exclusive release of its popular Episode 1 silhouette.
