Beautiful pan, but not a great value.

The pan is lovely, like all Le Creuset pieces. The lid sets it apart from other brands. My discussion is limited to saucier pans- Le Creuset pieces, in almost all settings, are simply the best out there and my preferred brand. I did not use the pan, but I imagine its heat conduction is as superb or better, like my smaller non stick pro saucier pan. I returned this 3.5 qt saucier pan after discovering several other European-made saucier pans at a sale price, with even more/extra ply construction, smooth (no rivets) interior, for less money.

Stainless Steel Pan a piece of art!

First, it is a beautiful pan which I leave out on the stove, even when not in use. The pan works very well, though it takes very little heat, which I am still getting use to. If you cook to hot, food will stick, but for the most part it is easy to clean. Cooks food evenly.

I read this was the best pan for sauces and gravies. SO TRUE. I have also found it is an incredible pan for many other things, and it is so easy and comfortable to handle. It is the best pan ever for risotto and grits. I gave it as a gift, and the recipient continues to rave about this pan.
