I got this phone the galaxy S9. A few weeks ago..im very happy with it It was so easy to switch my data from my old Galaxy 7 ...it did all the work itself. Pretty handy ! Especially for someone my age ..im almost 74..And the terms and ease that Straight to gave me are wonderful..thanks so very much

I bought this about a month ago and I'd have to say I love it as much as I loved my s8 plus, but with many more features in a smaller phone. The only thing I don't like about it, is the fact that it's small and kinda heavy but overall I really enjoy it and I'm always finding new things to do with my phone.

Great everything

I bought this a month ago and am so glad I did.  I upgraded from an S5. The S9 is so much faster and has so much more room for all the apps I need. Its perfect for work. And straighttalk made it so easy to purchase. I'm glad I made this purchase. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Galaxy S9

Have had multiple generations of samsung phones. Very pleased so far. The only issue I saw was the curved screen edges. Purchased an alpha glass screen protector. Works great and my screen is safe from scratches. I have seen no problems with this phone. Would reccomend.

Love the phone

Bixby is annoying but can be disabled. It takes a while to setup the phone because there are several software updates. Be prepared to be bombarded with messages from Samsung. It takes time to navigate through the phone. The phone was a bit pricey but worth it.

Worth it.

I wanted to wait a couple months to write my review as my initial opinion was one of dislike!  I am liking it better now but still not loving it.  I have been a Samsung Galaxy owner since the beginning basically and this time I went from the 6 to the 9.   I immediately was irritated when I opened the box and found they had changed the charging port.  That meant I needed a new cord for the car, work, home, everywhere that I currently have one.  I think I understand why - so that the charging port  was the same on both sides so you don't have make sure the cord is right side up.  Which brings me to my next annoyance.  They took away the physical home button, now it is activated by touching the screen.  So I save time with the cord, but now I am flipping my phone trying to figure out which end has the homing area.  Again, i think i know why- to add to its sleekness. Third downfall is I do not think the camera is that great either.  I don't know if it is just the Straight Talk phones but my camera quality has always been lame.  Lastly, they changed SEVERAL things in regards to the way you access things, such as how you schedule an test, add a contact, etc.  Basically everything, so that was frustrating having to learn everything.  Overall, I would take my S6 back if it wasn't failing.

Too many changes

Beware!  I bought this phone on Thanksgiving Day 2019 on a Walmart Black Friday online sale.  The phone was brand new but I started having problems with the microphone.  Long story short, Samsung does not want to honor the 1 year warranty.  I will never buy anything like this from Walmart again and I am done with Samsung as well.

Great replacement for the perpetually dying battery S7 i had purchased from Straight Talk. I'm now thinking Straight Talk phones are all the same. At least for Galaxy. This S9 out of the box post updates and everything to get it to a true standby state. Have to charge it by end of day everyday. Most all background and secondary power drains are turned off and yet the battery could hold up longer. I expected at least a day of charge not dying before bedtime. Anyway, otherwise great phone, good service.

Solid Android Galaxy

I was at first happy with my purchase but within the first year Samsung did a update and from then on my screen would go green! I did everything told to do and also reset it to factory and nothing helped. Samsung said to send it back with out sending me a replacement first.  Id be so happy to have the replacement transfer my pictures first then send it back. The screen does have a small chip in lower right corner that happen way after green screen issues.

We had the same phone with a different carrier.  The monthly rate for Straight Talk was appealing.  Unfortunately we get nowhere near the service we got with the previous carrier.  In many locations we get the "you are roaming" message.  That never happened with the previous carrier.  I checked at the store and was told that "some phones do that".  Clearly, if you are depending on the phone for anything, that is not acceptable.  Not sure if we are going to stay with this service or not as our reception is pretty poor frequently.
