It's a lot smaller than the original. But mom and I had a great time playing this and Introduced it to my kids when I got older. Love it!

MEMORIES

This game is a great game for someone who's likes Yahtzee, you never have to other people to play.  This is a stocking stuffer for my youngest child, she has great memories of playing Yahtzee with her grandma, who is Belanger with us. Her grandma always had a hand healed yahtzee gf game laying around.

Great fun

I got this for my son for Christmas, as he enjoys the game. It reminds me an old I used to have in school. However it's on the smaller side, definitely not made for larger hands. And I wish there was a light for the screen if needed. It can be hard to see the scores and numbers at times.

Fun time to be had

This is exactly what I was looking for as it's easy to take anywhere. The only problem is it's very light weighted and the old one that just died on me was a little heavier and more easier to handle. This one seems so flimsy I keep feeling it's going to fly from my hands.

this Yahtzee game is not made like the older style a few years ago this one is very lightweight and flimsy and cheaply made and the display screen is very dim you have to be in a well-lit room to read it

The black "hold" buttons are way to small for adult hands. Didn't care for the fact that the "backward" & "forward" buttons are separate. I'm used to using the 2002 Gold Case Edition of Electronic Hand Held Yahtzee & the "backward/forward" buttons are combined on 1 button, which I find much more convenient & the "hold" buttons are much larger & easier to press. I originally bought this Red & Black game for my brother. It didn't fit his hands/fingers real well so a few weeks later, I ordered him the "2002 Gold Case Edition" from Amazon. He was thrilled with the difference!

Probably best for someone with "small" hands.

It's to small, there is no back lighting to play at night, I cannot read most of the things on the screen

I recently purchased the latest handheld Yahtzee game, hoping to relive the nostalgia of the version I remember my mom playing. Unfortunately, it falls short in several areas. The most significant issue is the screen technology. The LCD display is difficult to read unless held at a very specific angle, and the lack of a built-in light exacerbates this problem. This makes playing in varied lighting conditions a challenge.

Another drawback is the sound quality. The beeping noises made by the piezoelectric sound maker are grating and lack the charm of the older version's sounds. This can become particularly annoying during longer play sessions.

While the game retains the fundamental fun of Yahtzee, these issues with the screen readability and sound quality detract from the overall experience. It's a pity that this version doesn't live up to the user-friendly design and nostalgic charm of its predecessor.

Yahtzee Game: A Step Back from Its Predecessor

I was disappointed in this product. It is difficult to operate, the "hold" on the dice button does not work properly, making it a true frustration to play Yahtzee, believe me! It is going back, I am afraid. This is the first product I have had to return to WalMart, and I would rather be playing the game....
