About

Gloryhammer are a British power metal band formed in 2010. The collective was founded by Christopher Bowes, frontman of the “pirate metal” band Alestorm, and each subsequent member of the lineup has adopted a fully developed on-stage persona -- with Bowes himself embodying the evil wizard Zargothrax. Now a six-piece that has embarked on tours across the globe, Gloryhammer have attracted audiences with their lively, armor-clad performances. The band released their debut album Tales from the Kingdom of Fife in 2013, followed by 2015’s Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards and 2019’s Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex. In 2023, Gloryhammer released their fourth studio album, Return to the Kingdom of Fife

The Glory shall never leave their hammer

by Oniknight on 3/29/24The Regent Theater - Los Angeles

Gloryhammer always shows a love for their performance and a humor which delights my daughter and brother. I am glad we saw this performance. The mixing of the sound left a bit to be desired, as some songs drowned out the lead vocalist. However, the workers at the venue were really rather kind. The bleachers for mezzanine felt like a rip-off though. I've had mezzanine seating that was awesome and this was just bleah. For a small venue it was alright though, but I feel they can likely afford to invest in their "premium"seating a bit more since they are charging a premium rate.

    Fun as Hell

by Karomaz on 3/18/24House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

Seeing GloryHammer live at the House of Blues was quite the experience! The venue was perfect for rocking out, and both GloryHammer, and their opening act Twilight Force, gave it 110%! Being that this was my first standing concert, it was quite the experience. There were dudes crowd surfing and moshing so hard they created a black hole that kept sucking more and more people into it! I can't recommend seeing GloryHammer live enough, those guys really know how to hype up a crowd and make a fun and memorable night! Hail Hoots!

    Super Cool Show!

by SirChicken on 3/16/24The Shelter - Detroit

Awesome seeing two of my favorite bands in the flesh, and being so close to the stage. The staff was very friendly. It started to get hot about half way but I guess someone turned on fans or vents to cool things down, which was great. Would totally go again.

    Holy flying unicorns!!!

by Mauve Oddech on 3/16/24The Shelter - Detroit

I took my boyfriend Ziggy Oddech for a birthday gift and Wow what an evening!!!Twilight Force and Glory Hammer were amazing together, the sound was perfect for the size of the venue, The lead singer of Twilight Force was Out of Office, but they had a lead female that ROCKEDTHEPOWERINTOMETAL! and all their band members wer cohesively glorious, they even stayed and took pictures with people. Gloryhammer was so very AH-MAZ-ING! Hearing their songs live was next level, I hope they come back one day and enjoyed their time in Detroit.

    Amazing and entertaining

by Never too old to rock and roll on 3/12/24Baltimore Soundstage - Baltimore

I went with my son who introduced me to Gloryhammer. They were amazing! Now I’m a bigger fan than he is! They kept the energy up the whole time. Very entertaining and interactive with the audience. Can’t wait to see them again! The venue was standing room only and most people were very tall so I had a hard time seeing everyone in the band but what I did see was great! The sound was a little off for the first song but quickly corrected. Not bad for no sound check prior to their set. To sum up my evening with Gloryhammer… It was a HOOT!!

Gloryhammer is a night to remember

by Dennis on 3/10/24Irving Plaza Powered By Verizon 5G - New York

Absolutely wonderful performance by everyone in the band. They're always doing something even if they're playing their instruments. Like one member would be acting out the song, the singer would be carrying a giant hammer around the stage, a goblin would come out of nowhere, and so on. Great songs and show
