Our old coffee maker died some time ago, and we have been using an acient one-cup machine, which is just not the same when you are coffee drinkers extraordinaries. When we saw the Braun KF7000BK 12-cup coffee maker, we thought that it was definitely worth a try. We are so glad that we did! It is very nice looking, Will brew up to 12 cups of coffee at a time, and is very easy to use. The control panel is easy to understand and set. You can set automatic start times and an automatic length of time for the heating plate to stay on. Our model came with a permanent filter basket, so we don't have to buy paper filters. It also came with a handy coffee scoop (careful: each scoop makes 2 cups of coffee). We brew a pot of coffee at least twice a day, and we are loving this coffee maker.

Awesome Coffee Maker

This is my second braun coffee maker as the heating unit quit after 7yrs of use.
I just ordered a new one same as the old one. I thought i might try and fix the
old one later on as the rest of the unit works,just not heat the water. Got one
on order from walmart.

I purchased this coffee maker 5 years back. It stopped working recently.  So I started shopping around and purchased a coffee maker.  But the coffee it brewed was no way close to Braun. I returned it and got this coffee maker again. Makes perfect coffee all the time.

Makes the best tasting coffee

Great coffee maker but the lid closes tightly and traps residual moisture in the brewing chamber and there is no venting feature to allow it dry out. My homemade fix is to insert a spacer under the lid to prop it up about a quarter inch. This allows for moisture evaporation. Works great! Perhaps a design change is in order.

Love the black with the silver buttons as it fits in nicely with my other kitchen appliances. Coffee maker is easy to use and clean. It does come with a removable coffee filter, charcoal water filter, and a small spoon for scooping coffee into the filter. Easy to set up and has the ability to automate coffee making. Will brew up to 12 cups of coffee at a time, but since it's just me and my husband, we only brew 6 cups at a time. Love the fact that we do not have to buy and use coffee filters anymore as it comes with a permanent one (which is also very easy to rinse and reuse). Love it so far!

Use to easy and clean

Well this machine brews wonderful coffee. i did alot of reaching before buying a new machine this one kept coming up as a great tasting machine that wasn't $500. this is not a fancy coffee maker at all. it has just the basic features but the results are good. for the price and quality of flavor you receive alone is a 5 star rating for me. i was in no need of other features since i have a espresso machine as well. i was looking for a machine that would do just the basics and do it well, it does brew a delicious pot of coffee and im super happy with the results. so buy good quality beans(witch also makes a difference) grind them yourself and brew a pot and results are very good. flavor comes out smooth with no bitter aftertaste. Only complaint i have is wish it would have had a thermal pot instead of glass so coffee can stay hot longer.

Braun makes the best, most reliable products

This is my second purchase. My first coffee pot only lasted 50 weeks. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with  another try, hoping it will last a more reasonable period of time. If it does not, it will be the last Braun product I will ever purchase.

Last try

The first thing I noticed was that this was big and tall. I took a pic of my current coffee maker, so you could see just how tall. It is not a huge problem though until you want to open the lid. You can barely open it and even then it is difficult to get inside. You really can't see what you are doing or pour water in or anything. You have to pull it all the way to the edge for it to open full hinge. It is also not super easy to pull to the edge when needed. The water comes out the top lid which has looked aged, cloudy, or dirty since the day I got it. It's not shiny like the rest of the unit. There is a filter to change out every couple months if you want, but do not have to use one if you don't want. There is a water hardness setting. A green light will come on to let you know cleaning time. You can remove the carafe for up to 20 seconds during mid brew, so you can pour yourself a cup before it is finished. You can use filters too but not needed with the reusable filter. I did not see any instruction inside the box it came with, but I think I found it online. That said I have not gotten a chance to try all the features out yet. It took a bit of time to find, read and figure everything out alone. I had to make coffee with my machine after an hour of messing with setting this one up with still no coffee. It's a little more buttons and features than I want. There is also a whole lot of steam coming out the back and then onto the LED panel. I don't like the idea of that being only inches from my cabinets. I could see this being good for an office with the programs and reminders, but not for my home where I'm the only one who uses it.
