This is a pretty good machine, I cut a lot of wood so far and it has done great. just dont forget to check its fluids.

Totally amazed at the performance.  I use wood heat, hit an age where I just couldn't hand split, perfect size, perfect price . No problem splitting a cord a day.

Where have you been all my life.

Split logs four about 5 hours so far. Has plenty of power and is a huge time saver. Great product great quality.

Excellent choice in a log splitter

Excellent value for money, 18" green oak no problem.

Great little machine

This little thing just splits wood like crazy! There were a few logs that it couldn't do but its just a dense piece. But nice to have a log splitter that doesn't use gas.

It's a good working log splitter. Made in America which is why I chose it in the first place. You can't go wrong with southland.

Love this product, easy to setup and use

Only complaint was it was low on hydrolic  fluid, hard to find what the book recommends, had to call manufacturers to get substitutes. They recommend liquid wrench jack oil with a ISO rating of 22. Available at Home Depot

This is the best money I've spent in a while. First let me say it comes right out of the box ready to go. Just put the wheels on. 2 minutes that's it!
      The very first wood I tried to split was some gnarly knotted oak from a tree that got hit by lightning last year. I had whacked these things with an axe until my back finally said enough already. Couldn't even get them to crack. 
The Southland went through them without even straining! An unreal moment of “WOW”, and then came the “WOO HOO!  This is a quality product.”
6 ton is more than enough pressure to split fireplace wood. 
It's easy to operate. Easy to adjust for log size.
And it costs far less than a gas one does. 
Not much to explain. It works!
If you're tired of swinging the axe, and you don't want to spend a ton of $, this one will not disappoint...

I like my 6 ton³ Southland log splitter it cuts through wood just like the video shows but the only thing I do not like is that you would have to hold the level in the back At the same time Press and hold the on and off switch to engage the log splitter to cut the wood
