A: You have to install the Logitech gaming software app but yes, I hate the distracting rainbow myself, I set mine to a solid blue color instead, you can choose pretty much any RGB color any varying effects or just solid. Alternatively you could turn the lighting off completely. You cant control each key individually but you can set sections of the keyboard to different colors.Q: Is the palm rest removable? A: No, the bottom is a single piece and all of it is connected, there is no way to remove it barring physical damage.
