This toy is super cool and exciting. I'm 36 and I'm enjoying as much as my 8yo. Keep in mind, this is not an RC car, it's an AR gadget so don't be disappointed when you see the car not driving as such.  The sense of speed is given by the screen on the switch, but you can also unlock actual higher speeds for the car as you win trophies in the game (you start at 50cc and can go up to 200cc).  The circuits are very easy to setup and the AR competitor is engaging, if you get hit by the AR, the car reacts. Overall, worth it

The Mario Kart Home Circuit is free in the Nintendo eShop, but you need a Switch to play with this. You don't need to have Mario Kart 8 Switch game to play this, it is completely independent.

This game is so much fun! It's a blast to be able to drive around your house and see the obstacles on your Switch screen. It's fun with extra people too because they can watch what your cart is doing!

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he absolutely loved it. He is middle aged and when he opened his Mario kart it was like he was a kid again. We had so much fun playing Mario kart. The only one in our house who didn’t like the game was our dog lol. This is definitely a game for all ages

Mario Kart a great game for all ages

I originally bought this for the my daughter for a Christmas present but I couldn’t contain myself and gave it to her on her birthday we popped it open and built a track around the living room and kitchen and started racing the game and car are lots of fun very responsive but the only downside to the game is the cpu opponents in the game don’t recognize obstacles or hills so if you run into a chair in the game you hit it but the CPU doesn’t or if a ramp you built slows you down but not the cpu besides that the sets lots of fun to play with I even purchased a Luigi set from Walmart I found one when I walked in awesome times to be had.

My boys love this! Its still a video game, but has them up and moving and arranging tracks. They have fun playing together which is rare these days with their age difference.

Satisfied Mom

My 5 year old son is really into gaming and has the mario kart for switch already. I knew that he would love this live mario kart and was excited to give it as a gift. The package includes the mario kart, 4 gates and 2 direction arrows. 
Set up was slightly on the difficult side as we did not have have a Nintendo account  and have never downloaded a game through the eshop. I was also required to pay $.50 to open a new account, which I thought was strange. Also important to note, a wifi connection is needed in order to complete this initial set up step.
After that was completed, I had no issues with the setup. The camera connected easily to the game system via bluetooth and we were off to the races!
The gates and arrows are a heavy duty cardboard, which seem to be pretty sturdy, although for the price point I would have maybe liked to see something a little more tough. They were easy to set up, and fold back down  for clean up, and easily fit back into the box.
The game starts by having you take the kart through the course to map it out, and we were all super impressed by how easy it was to navigate the course. We are still trying to figure out the in's and out's of the game itself but everything is working flawlessly so far. Works best on hardwood floor although also works on the carpet, just some minor issues transitioning between flooring changes.
We had no issues with maintaining the connection between the kart and switch system, although this may be an issues depending of the size of the track you build. I was also excited to see that there is an option to purchase a luigi kart so that 2 players can play together.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend this to other's!

I didn't know the switch wasn't included  and it was sold by 3rd party through Walmart app I had fraud on my account and card I used is no longer valid I'm trying to return them and can't get refund from Walmart or 3rd party due to no longer having the card I used to purchase this item I am so upset that I'm out almost 400 dollars and can't buy anything else I'm very disappointed
