They are about a foot lower than a regular arcade cabinet - so for adults probably better designed for sit down play ( Unless you add the optional riser which raises the CP another 12" so it is then the same height as normal arcade control panels )

With a riser. They are 37inches. Without a Riser they are 25 inches. The 4ft size of the cabinet is due to the license. It's the same license for Key chain arcade and mini hand held arcade games you find at Wal-Mart. The license only allows for products under 4ft. Which is why they made a riser. To make it more closely related to a Cabaret Cabinet. To obtain the right for arcade cabinets above the 4ft height would have cost way to much and the price point would have been much higher.

how high are the control pads from the floor?  At 4' seems like a miniature box.

No, these are more closely related to a Cabaret cabinet than a full sized arcade machine (including riser).  Without the riser. The control panel is about the height of your computer desk (25 inches). So sitting in a computer chair or Kitchen chair works great. With a Riser the control panel is 37inches. Taller people (6'1" and taller) may find it to be a little short and need to find an alternative if they wish to stand and play. The size is due to licensing regulations. The license they got was the same license for key chain arcades and mini hand held arcade machines you see at Wal-Mart. This license only allows them to make the cabinet under 4ft tall. Which is why they made a riser. If they would have obtained the license for anything larger than 4ft. The costs would be to high and they couldn't have hit their price point.

No, this arcade machine does not come with Pac-Man.

I purchased centipede cabinet for $ 175 plus tax,two years warranty and a recycle fee, total about 205 bucks. The unit looks beautiful and game is excellent for centipede and millipedes. Worth every penny, highly recommend.

I wish I can get them all!  I've always wanted this game and finally after decades,  I have it. It looks and plays like the real thing. I haven't so far had any issues with my ball as others and praying I don't but I love it and my kids thinks it's cool. I STRONGLY SUGGEST GETTING THE RISER.

Wanted one for decades,  worth the wait!

Christmas gift for my grand kids they haven't used it yet but I have and I live it. I know they will enjoy it as much as I have. Love it so much thinking about getting a pac- man machine!

This is a review based on 1 day of ownership and just mostly the build quality and ease of assembly.

1st of all I like how the company will not let you return an opened box to the store.  Everything is sealed and packed as well as I have ever seen so you know you are not getting some one else's return.

Also the build quality is very good and instructions are clear and accurate.  Take your time so and it goes real well.  I probably spent 1hr to assemble and everything looks pretty flawless.

I watched a youtube video with a guy saying for the money it is not worth it but I disagree.  The build quality is real good and solid.  For the intitial play through the screen is bright and vibrant and the controls feel good.

I bought the game for Crystal Castles and playing it with the trackball.

I played one game so far and it feels and looks authentic.  Haven't played the other 3 games.

Also the same guy said other sources have shown how small these are and he showed a girl on her knees playing it.

Well I am not tall but at 5'8 sitting it is the perfect height.  I guess if you want to stand and play you can get the riser.  But I prefer to sit.

Bare in mind I just got this last night.  But I feel it is worth the $299 price tag.  I didn't get the extended warranty and maybe I should since from what I can tell the warranty that comes with it is for 90 days.  Hopefully nothing goes wrong and if it does they are good to deal with.

Got me Crystal Castles finally!

The only issues Ive had are the same as eveyone else lile paint on the cp peeling and A1up has had great customer service so far. Beatiful artwork amd the game paly is just like the arcade (ok the track ball is cheaper than the real arcade but the total is around 300 foe these machines)Overall I recomend. My only complaint is I wish the High scores saved more than just the top three for Centipede.

These are great! Not a single problem. put these together in 35 minutes, and each riser takes 8 minutes.  For $299, its a steal...although i would have paid $399 or more. All functioning perfectly. couldnt be happier. purchased 4 uear warranty for like $1 a month.  Insanely good deal!

this game is amazing just like the arcade game... it brings me back to when I was a kid taking all my mom's quarters heading down to the local pizza parlor with all my friends to play centipede and Pac-Man brings back so many great memories!

Amazing!!

Pros:  The assembly instructions were easy to follow.  Easy to assemble. The graphics on the cabinet are great!  The game play is great!  Nice size display.  Easy to view.  Pretty easy to switch between games (hold down player one). 

Cons:  There was some dust between the screen glass and the LCD display.   It's not much.  I think it got in there from shipping.  When the display is on, it's not noticeable.  There is an issue with high scores not being saved also.  My wife got 35,000 on Centipede and it didn't save.  Looks like the work around is to go out of the game after beating the high score and go back in.  I haven't tried it yet.  The graphics on the control panel seemed a last minute design.  There doesn't seem to be any clear coat paint on that. Everything else is.  After a week of use, the paint started to wear off.  I contacted the company.  They said that this is a 2018 model.  They used to send out free overlays for the console.  They don't anymore.  The 2019 and newer models come with the overlay.    Without the riser stand, the cabinet is short.  Like 4 feet short.  Order the riser stand.  Well worth it.  Also, if yours does not come with the overlay for the control panel, order one.  The paint will wear off.  

Overall, it's a good game console.  I'd buy another one.  I just wanted to let you know what to expect.

Pros and Cons

It's CRAP. WAY smaller than the image on the box implies making the riser (add $40) a necessity.
The front had a massive scratch that someone tried to color over with a marking pen (of a different color) and somehow this was passed through any quality control system that may have been in place. A message sent to the company has (thus far) gone unanswered. SAVE YOUR MONEY

Not worth the money

What is up with all the fake reviews on this site before the item was even released? These have not been available until October 16th, 2018.

I pre-ordered all five current models. ALL have some sort of problem. Look for my review of each one here.

This Centipede cabinet has a bulge on the side of the wood on the right side. The roller ball does not work as it should making it impossible to play. Rolling the controller ball hardly works and most times does not move anything at all nor can you move the selector to select one of the four games. The print on the screen at the bottom is covered up by the controller board. Pitting damage is also on the controller board graphic art. Are the games playable? NO. Big stop sign on each screen saying do not return to store and to call 1-800-764-2760 to speak to their experts. The problem is you only get music when calling and after time are prompted to leave a voice mail and it hangs up on you. Two days later and have still not gotten any return calls back from them.

Poor Quality. Poor Support.
