A dog walker believes he may have captured UFOs in the sky above Rendlesham Forest.

George Taylor spotted the strange balls of light on Sunday in an area of Suffolk which has a history of bizarre sightings and home to Britain’s most famous UFO case.

The spooked local, who claims he’s never seen anything like it, took out his camera and recorded.

The 36-second clip shows flashes of light behind clouds as a helicopter circles below.

Mr Taylor uploaded the footage to YouTube in the hope that someone can provide answers.

He wrote: ‘Spotted three balls of light in the sky yesterday afternoon whilst walking around Rendlesham Forest and couldn’t believe what I was seeing! Had a very weird feeling that I shouldn’t have been there.

‘Quickly recorded it on the phone and have uploaded it to see whether anyone else witnessed anything similar yesterday too. Very strange! Regularly take my dogs for a walk around the area and have never seen anything as strange as this.’

The area has become synonymous with strange goings-on and is often dubbed ‘Britain’s Roswell’.

Nigel Watson, author of the UFO Investigations Manual, said: ‘If I was being cynical I’d say this is a stunt to give publicity for The UFO Rendlesham Incident – a new film being released in February. Like this video, it features helicopters and anomalous lights in the sky.

‘Even if it is not a stunt not much detail of the lights can be seen and they could be all manner of mundane things rather than alien visitors.’

He continued: ‘Often called the British equivalent of Roswell, the crash of a UFO in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk during December 1980.

‘This escalated from the sighting of lights in the sky by US personnel from the nearby RAF/USAF Woodbridge air base, to stories of contact with aliens.

‘In 2010, James Penniston, who was part of the team that approached the landed craft, claimed that when he touched the craft it telepathically downloaded binary codes into his brain. Coordinates in the code apparently indicate the position of Hy-Brasil, which is a mythical island off the west coast of Ireland.’

Mr Watson added: ‘Sceptics have come up with all manner of explanations for the Rendlesham incident, none of which have satisfied the believers that an alien ship or time travellers visited this spot.’
