About

ANDY SUZUKI AND THE METHOD IN CONCERT:

For nearly a decade, Andy Suzuki & The Method have been captivating audiences with lush, soulful folk rock brimming with emotion and sensitivity. Andy Suzuki's world-wise voice is complemented by the gentle violin playing of Jason Gorelick and the hushed percussion of Kozza Babumba. Together they put on intimate live shows that perfectly capture the powerful feelings embodied in songs like "Her Ghost" and "Take Care of Me". From their finely crafted sound to their friendly onstage demeanor, Andy Suzuki & The Method always treat fans to a feel-good concert experience full of passion, earnestness, and first-rate musicianship.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Singer Andy Suzuki and percussionist Kozza Babumba began playing music together in 2005 while attending Brown University in Rhode Island. After several years playing the college circuit the pair linked up with violinist Jason Gorelick, christening themselves Andy Suzuki & The Method and finally settling in New York City. In 2009 they released their debut EP 300 Pianos, and by 2011 they were chosen as the Manhattan winner of WNYC's Battle of the Boroughs. Their sophomore release, 2012's The Ghost Stories EP, earned praise from critics and landed the band on a KFC-sponsored tour of Brunei -- their music struck a major chord with Bruneian youth, who dubbed themselves "Methodons" and "Mothodonnas". In 2013 the band released their highly anticipated full-length debut album Born Out of Mischief, a stellar slice of folk-tinged pop rock that has ticket buyers chomping at the bit to catch them on tour.
