Chris Smither is an American treasure. I loved every minute of the show!
Great venue, very intimate. Chris, as always, was outstanding. He is a really exceptional talent. And he hung around after for a meet and greet. Awesome!
Chris Smithers is a talented singer/songwriter and a wonderful guitarist! His storytelling is the best! I have been a fan since the early Club 47 days. A real treat!!
Even though it was mostly old people like me attending, the show was too early in the evening. Too difficult to start evening activities at 5:00 pm when we have other responsibilities. Maybe start at 6:00 or 6:30 if not later. Chris was fine as usual and the venue at Hale Farm is great.
Just a great venue, very laid back, small enough to keep it intimate feeling and Laurel ge enough to give everyone space. Chris Smither was excellent, a phenomenal guitar player and hasn’t lost much on his voice. Almost all his own songs but with an incredible cover of Hot Rod Lincoln!
He still writes great lyrics and still plays great guitar. The show was a real treat.
The music was EXCELLENT, the set list was diverse. Chris Smither was comical, with interesting, with funny stories. It felt like he was a friend, hanging in your living room, playing the guitar, except much better.
This was my second time to see Chris Smither live. The first was at an outdoor festival. Both events had excellent acoustics which is essential when listening to someone whose lyrics and music are so tightly bound together. We were in the second row this time. It had the feel of a house concert. He’s an amazing songwriter and performer. His guitar work is impeccable and the tone from his guitar is gorgeous.
I hadn't seen Chris S. since he played in a "coffehouse" setting at the UU Church in Arlington, probably 40 or so years ago. It was exciting for me to see him again! Great show!
Chris Smither was very good. He played old favorites and threw in a few new songs.
