Unique experience surrounded by nature and animals. Excellent game drives. Beautiful hut, tastefully designed. Really enjoyed the “no electricity” situation (there are outlets at the deck near the reception though, also WiFi). All in all amazing!

Nice location in the national park, next to a dam where lots of animals come to drink. Great rooms with comfy beds and warm shower. Only downside no WiFi nor electricity in the rooms. But it adds to the experience as well

The location is unbeatable! You can just sit in a deck chair all day watching the animals come to the watering hole or (passive ones) wander around the accommodation area. Rhinos, a family of giraffes, a giant lizard (I’m guessing), an elephant, impala, monkey, frog… on safari we saw lions and 4 of the big 5, vultures, even 3 baby warthogs! It was incredible and filled my cup. (I’ve been on safaris before but this one is more relaxing as you also get the animals coming to you)

How can you not love staying in a place where antelope bed down on the lawn in front of your cabin? Or where you see white rhino at the water hole on the way to the restaurant? (An electrified fence keeps the animals from butting in on the buffet.) The enormous mosquito net helped make me feel secure. Overall, the operation seemed professional, warmed by the friendliness of the staff. We were delighted when we were able to book a sunrise safari at the very last minute the preceding afternoon. It turned out to be fantastic.

The rondavels are very clean and comfortable with modern touches. Loved being able to walk to the watering hole to see animals, including many rhinos (note: there is no light on the watering hole after dark). Staff is very friendly.

We were definitely able to connect with nature. There's no electricity in the rooms, but there are nice lamps for you to use to light up the room and walk around the park during the night. The dinner was great. It was buffet-style and there were quite a few options to choose from, and the cake was really good. It had a really nice light custard sauce that you can drizzle on top. That with a cup of hot rooibus tea was an amazing way to end the evening. The sunrise drive was my favorite part. Nelly was a great guide. He was funny and he made learning about the animals fun.

The cottages were nice and spacious, and had the advertised amenities such as a fridge, stove, oven, etc.

What not to like to be in an authentic part of Africa? The location is amazing, inside the national park, only a few steps away from hippos and rhino taking their baths in the pond while guests are sipping coffee at the restaurant. The rooms are so charming, clean and have all the necessary comfort for being in the middle of a National Park.
