Aldi is selling halloumi wrapped in bacon as part of its Christmas menu

FORGET basic pigs in blankets – Aldi is selling HALLOUMI wrapped in bacon for your Christmas dinner.
The bitesize snacks are part of the discounter’s new festive range, which was unveiled in full this week.
Instead of a traditional pork sausage, the tasty treat features small chunks of grilled halloumi wrapped in a streak of bacon.
While we don’t know the price of them yet, Aldi has confirmed they’ll be in stores from December 5.
We also can’t see them listed on the Aldi website but the discounter is telling customers to keep an eye on its Christmas page.
A 225g block of halloumi typically costs around £2 from Tesco while a pack of bacon is priced at £1.40.
So you're looking at paying around £3.40 to make these up yourself.
This isn't the only unusual thing Aldi is doing to sausages - the grocer recently unveiled a whopping 6ft long pig in blanket.
