Amazon - Echo Show (1st Generation) - Smart Speaker with Alexa - White

The Echo Show is definitely an interesting product. If you haven't interacted with one in person, it's basically an Android driven touchscreen built into an Echo device. Unlike a typical Android tablet, however, there are no icons and very little interaction is done with the touchscreen. By default, the screen simply shows the time and current weather in the top left, with a rotating view of Alexa tips, calendar events and news items on the bottom portion of the screen and a randomly chosen background picture. When you talk to Alexa, a blue gradient bar appears on the bottom edge of the screen (reminiscent of the blue light on the original Echo) and the text of her response shows up on the screen. If there are multiple choices, they are listed on the screen and you can reference them by number as well as touch them. The camera integration with various Smart Home providers also works decently, albeit a bit slow to connect sometimes. But overall, the touchscreen on the Echo Show puts an interesting spin on the concept of the Echo devices.

Great smart home device nice screen and sound. A must have in any home

Amazon show is pretty cool, It can help with things like cooking recipe, homework and other things. But it's restricted to only Amazon partner things. If Google comes out with something similar I would have definitely chosen that over the show. No YouTube.

I bought this device for my girlfriend to use in the kitchen so she could look up and see recipes and instructions when trying new food dishes. The device is great for this. We also love being able to listen to music, world news, search for items or products and easily order items from this device. We also are able to connect other devices and operate lights in the home. It does so much more. I think this is a great device for the home.

Bought myself one love so much had to buy one for my daughter.

I was skeptical with this purchase. I do have other Amazon products leading me to my decision to buy this. The Amazon Show looks good. The screen is a little small (2nd gen bigger). It look like a small projections tv sitting on my counter. I like the camera to see and talk to my daughter. The sound from the speaker aren’t the bad sounding for everyday use. I like that it shoes the command on the screen when you ask it something. What I don’t like is you can’t limit the use of the device to non family members. Overall it was worth the purchase.

I love my new Amazon Echo Show. It is amazing all the things you can do with it. Christmas Eve my granddaughter and I tracked Santa Claus on it. I use the audible book function to listen to books while cooking, cleaning, etc. Now I have learned that I can even use it for diet recipes and exercises. Alexa is my new best friend.

I was amazed by this gadget. It makes me laugh when i don't feel laughing. Sometimes i feel like talking to real human because her sense of humor is amazing though sometimes not but most of the time she makes me feel great. Glad i bought this.
