This is great for minimalist traveling
This is great for minimalist traveling! Got this for our trip to Maui to save on some cost for washing on a ten day trip with two kids. Used it to dry light weight clothes or clothes that dry quickly, babies bibs. Not sure if it would hold jeans or not, but for the price and what it can do... it's a great deal! Will probably get another for our next trip.Pro tip: get two ten inch para cord and learn how to do a fisherman's knot to hang itEdit: meant to say half knots

I bought 2 of these and 2 small carabiners. The lines can be tied together and with the carabiners, the whole thing can be configured to fit almost any bathroom, hotel room, whatever. The braided line means no clothespins are necessary. The braiding is elastic enough to grip even shirts without them falling loose.

These lines enable us to travel carry-on only. The whole thing weighs almost nothing and is tiny in your suitcase. You can think of it having negative weight and volume, because it lets you pack fewer clothing items.

It saves you trips to the laundromat, as well, so you have more vacation time for vacationing. Washing in the hotel room takes maybe 15 minutes and so can be worked in as a non-interfering task. (We’ve found undies can be hotel-room-washed several times before actual laundering is required. Shirts only once before you risk smelling like an unair-conditioned summertime subway car.)

Also, the thing saves you money. Laundromats, even if you spring for them to clean and fold, are relatively cheap, but hotel service is usually quite pricey. At times it’s more expensive than just donating your dirty clothes to a local charity and buying new ones. This thing will get you through until you get to a cheaper alternative. So go to a top-flight restaurant on your savings!

These and a small container of Woolite or other sink-soap for clothes are always on our packing list.

I have used one of these for at least 5 years, since first seeing it on a travel show. Love this product. It takes up about as much room as a 3 oz. toiletry bottle and can be used anywhere. I do add a small carabiner on one end in case there isn’t anything in the hotel room to wrap the ends around. The rubber on my old one is finally starting to show signs of wear, so wanted another one. I’ll still keep using the old one until it actually breaks. This just gives me a second one, giving enough room for both towels and bathing suits when we’re staying in a condo, campground, or resort without a laundry machine.

I went on a month long surf trip and only brought one set of surf clothes. We were traveling quite a bit and wanted to be as light as possible. This was a lifesaver for hostels where we could wash our clothes in the sink and hang them in our bunk with a girth hitch and heroclip. The design is great as it's 3 weaved bungie cords, so you don't need clothespins if it's windy. I'd previously brought a piece of paracord but this little gadget is so well designed it's worth it's extra weight. It was in use literally 24/7 my entire trip.

It's great, except I couldn't always find a place to hang one end. I recommend.

I have ordered a couple of these. My first one lasted 5 years. I took it across Europe and to Belize and other places. Then I used it outside at home for too long which deteriorated the latex because of the sustained sun exposure and it broke.

I ordered a second one for my future travels. A really cool travel essential. I recommended it to my friend and she uses it at Burning Man and for a trip to Costa Rica. It’s just great.

I was so pleased to find this clothesline, almost identical to one I've used for years. I bought it years ago for travel and it worked so well, I use it routinely at home every time I launder something which needs line drying. Order this with confidence. You'll love it!

I was looking for ways to reduce what I carry when travelling. There are a lot of websites that help you decide what to pack and not pack when trying to travel light. I bought this and some washing machine detergent strips. It was helpful to be able to wash things while travelling and conveniently hang them up to dry.
