Perfect light foundation

Been using #02 for 15 years. It evens out the skin tone without a heavy coverage look. I moisturize, wait a few minutes, then blend a drop of moisturizer with foundation, and apply to face and neck.

Love this foundation

I've been using this foundation for over 5 years. I've tried others along the way but Dr. Hauschka's is the one I keep coming back to. Because... it goes on smooth even over face lotions and doesn't pill up like some others have done. It's smooth and really melds well with my skin color. AND I have sensitive skin and I don't break out.

This is the best one for me. It’s been a journey! Love the way this evens out skin tone and blends amazingly well. A little goes a long way and stays on all day. Please don’t change a thing!

Foundation 01 macadamia

Foundation 01 macadamia I've used the liquid foundation in the same shade for many years. I just apply in a very few key areas to give me a bit of coverage. The color is light and the coverage is very light as well, but you can layer it for more coverage (dryer skin will give more coverage vs than right after a moisturizer). You can apply a powder afterwards to give more coverage as well if you feel needed. It looks very natural and it's a pretty "clean" product so I have been happy for many years with it.

A new staple!

This wears very comfortably, the first foundation I’ve tried that I like. I am very pale with redness on my chin and nose. Cashew 001 is yellow-toned, which evens out my complexion nicely. I love the smell (strong herbal/floral) and the fact that it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. This foundation lasts all day, feels like skincare, and looks natural. Dr. Hauschka is my desert island brand, head to toe.

Super good foundation

I use this foundation in 02 Almond. My skin can get pretty tan during summers but I am blue eyed and get actually pretty fair during the winter. This shade works perfectly. This is the first foundation that I found to cover small areas of redness very well. The coverage is very good, not overly heavy. While it has a more matte finish, amazingly it doesn’t settle into fine lines. I apply it after giving time for my moisturizer to absorb into my skin. It is nourishing and after wearing it all day my skin is still hydrated and looks really nice. This is one of the best foundations I have ever used.

Excellent, non-greasy coverage!

I love Dr. Hauschka's foundation. Was introduced to it at GreenAcres Market where I was in charge of Social Media for about six years. I am allergic to a lot of things, but I've never had an adverse reaction to it. So, I'm a fan for life!

Once you've achieved a color-match, you will never try any other foundation! It goes on smooth for a flawless, light finish to even out face. I use this product year round - blends well with moisturizer & sunscreen.

Still Deciding...

I love its rich, creamy texture and its fragrance. (Its very fragrant). But im having troubles with its blendability. Im experimenting with lotions and primer to resolve it. It tends to form little dots of make up on my nose once it dries. Otherwise its very nice! And perfect color.

Lightweight coverage

I've been looking to replace all my former makeup products with Dr. Hauschka and other clean products, and this foundation is one of my favorites that I've tried. I love how easily it goes on (I use a foundation brush) and how it lasts most of the work day. Not great if you have dry/patchy spots, but for normal to oily (and sensitive) skin, this works great!

Wonderful Texture But No Coverage

I tried this foundation about two years ago and it didn't work for me but in all fairness, I thought I would give it a second chance. Well, it still isn't for me. I gave it two stars for the nice texture and feel on my face but this foundation oxidizes like crazy. I ordered the shade 01 Macadamia and within minutes, my face looked way darker. Also, it's more like a tinted moisturizer than a foundation, which means it virtually has no coverage. If they would work on the oxidization issue and provide a little more coverage, I would repurchase since it does sit on the skin nicely and is a natural product but until then, I will have to pass on this one.

My "go to" foundation

Foundation goes on really smoothly and stays on all day. Provides good coverage and feels good on your skin. I have been using it for years.

Wonderful cover!

I've been using Dr. Hauschka products for five years now. Foundation #O1 is perfect for me. And it takes so little to cover so well! I've never had any allergy problems with Hauschka. I'm a happy customer.

Love this foundation!

I love being able to put foundation on my skin that feels healthy instead of a bunch of synthetic chemicals in so many of the conventional, and even expensive big brand products. I get the coverage I need, it's moisturizing and lasts all day. Highly recommend!

Natural looking make-up

I wasn't sure what color to order so I went with the macadamia because I read someone else's review about it being light colored but a little darker than she wanted. I have fair skin but with a little color, so not the fairest. It ended up being the perfect color and I am happy with the look and feel. I don't wear a lot of make-up so I like the natural look and this product is just what I've been looking for. It leaves a natural looking glow too!

Wonderful Foundation!

The foundation is excellent for more mature and thin skin as it does not look caked and does not emphasize lines. It provides adequate coverage and looks very natural. The consistency is light and easy to apply. Once one finds the right shade, it's fantastic! Because we are living longer and staying active longer, more mature women are paying more attention to their looks and this should be a popular item with women of a certain age.

Provides no coverage

I ordered 02 almond and it doesn't provide any coverage at all. There is almost no difference if I have it on or nothing. The good thing, that it feels very light and doesn't cause breakout. Unfortunately, this is the first product from Dr.Haushka that doesn't make me look any better, and I won't be using it.

Best foundation

I've been using this foundation for years and I really love it. It is light, feels really nice, and helps even out my skin tone - I have a lot of acne scars - without looking cakey like other foundations. You can also add more for thicker coverage if you want. I've tried soooo many foundations over the years, and this is by far my favorite. :)

Best foundation!

I adore this foundation. It smells good, has good color and good coverage without looking artificial and never clogs pores. If used properly, it lasts six months (of daily application) and comes in this great non- spill container.

I’ve been using this foundation for years. It’s absolutely perfect for blending with a moisturizer. Very natural looking and feels light. It creates a smooth and even skin tone. My skin is sensitive and tends towards redness, and this works really well for it. I follow it up with a light powder. Excellent product.

This is my favorite product - the hazelnut matches well and it goes on smoothly.I have dark blond hair and green eyes and I think a touch of yellow in my light - medium tone skin this doesn't make me ashy or pink like some foundations do.

Covers nicely if used carefully. Little does it. all these foundations have a grey undertone. I wish there was a lighter color than Macadamia. It sallows and shadows my skin tone. wish there was a base with pure colors.

Like it, but....

I love all your products, and I use this foundation. However, I really wish it provided a little more coverage. It really doesn't do much. I have mature skin and would love something moisture rich with nice, smooth coverage by Hauschka.

Natural looking

Dr.Hauschka makes a great foundation that is very natural looking and has good consistency, not too thin, not too thick, and spreads perfectly on top of DH facial creams or oils. The only thing I don't like is the container, not only because it is a lot of plastic that the world does not need, but I cannot see how much is left in the container and I have a feeling that not all of it comes out and some is wasted at the bottom. I prefer the old tube-style containers because I could hold them up to the light to see how much is left, and I could bang them on the sink to make every last drop of product come out to avoid waste. Nevertheless, DH foundations look really great underneath various sunscreen powders (unfortunately DH sunscreens are not available in the USA) because it is not sticky at all, so it does not allow cakey build up (as long as you have a light hand in application of the power, that is!)

Fantastic foundation! Wish it had a mineral spf

I think this foundation is fabulous. It applies well and doesn’t sink into the pores or lines and has a fabulous clean fresh scent :)! It would be tremendous if they added a mineral sunscreen to it, as well. I purchased the color 01 and 02 I’m am light to medium skin tone, and have large pores, so am appreciative of this consistency. Excellent formulation

Found the perfect color

I like Dr. Hauschka products in general, but they were out of the foundation I previously wore. I tried 'chestnut, 'and it's just right. Smooth but subtle coverage, evens my skin tone, and looks good in different lights.

Foundation did not work for my face. Very oily effected, foundation does not cover. It is more like a cream. I was really looking forward because I liked other products of this brand. This one I am disappointed.

I use the foundation every day and the coverage is amazing. It evens out my skin tone with just a small amount. No streaking or caking through out the day. I can't even tell I am wearing make up.I also like the fact there is no harmful chemicals in the product.I highly recommend this product

Love this stuff!

I find this foundation easy to use. I apply using the Dr, Hauschka make up brush and I wear a sheer coverage for work everyday, however it is very easy to build ‘this to a more full coverage look. Wears well throughout the day. Wonderful to be able to trust the ingredients.

I really like this foundation

I used to use Dr. Hauschka foundation for years before they changed the formula. Then, I lost track of where to buy it.I recently bought the 01 foundation on line and discovered why I used to love this foundation. The new formula is very lovely, the coverage is great and the "look" is luminous. Glad I took a chance and "rediscovered" my favorite brand again!

My New Favorite Foundation

I'm switching from Aveda tinted moisturizer which I've been using for years, but always had to add powder to reduce the shine. I love this foundation: smooth, velvety and it does have more than adequate coverage for me even with my pale age spots and red areas around my nose. Best of all, no powder needed! Love the pump and can easily use only half a pump for less coverage. The nozzle does tend to dry the foundation into a thicker plug if not used daily, but I work this in as a concealer for darker areas. Finish is just lovely and stays on all day for me.

I have not worn foundation in years due to the heavy feel it leaves on the skin. This product is light and can be worn all day. That said I still only wear foundation on rare occasions.

Nice Foundation But Very Light Coverage

I recently received this foundation in the shade 01 Macadamia. The positives are it has a natural finish,is very blendable and you don't look made up. However the negatives are it has a strong aroma and very little coverage (However you can achieve medium coverage by building it.) and the texture is a bit thick. It sets pretty quickly too. I recommend that you apply this foundation with a damp makeup sponge rather than your fingertips.

Good coverage with natural results

I love that this has good coverage, but still feels light and breathable. The shade is very natural (no 2 for fair skin). I also like that I can pump out half a pump when I need less, so my initial dislike of the change to a pump container has been dispelled.

Did not work for my coloring.

I took a chance and ordered the lightest shade of foundation but unfortunatly it was too dark for my fair/light-with cool undertones skin type. My skin just looked dirty. The formulation felt nice and light and blended beautifuly but I will not be using. Wish I could have tried this product on before purchasing but it is not sold locally.

Perfect for Olive Toned Skin

I am really in love with Foundation 02! I have not worn foundation for years, but have recently decided to go back to it. Even though I have used Dr. Hauschka products for ever, this is my first experience with the foundation line. I love that it blends well, especially when I mix it with a little moisturizer. Foundation 02 is the perfect complement to my olive toned complexion!

Wrong color

don’t like the foundation at all. First, I ordered the wrong color. It’s too light, I look like a ghost wearing the foundation. Second, it’s too thick. I thought it would be more sheer.

I have been using this foundation for 5 years and love it. However I do not like the new pump bottle compared to the old simple bottle that was a simple squeeze bottle with the opening face down to allow gravity to help the foundation come out. Sometimes to much comes out and you can’t get it back in the new bottle.

Good liquid foundation

This foundation went very smooth and blended right in. Not quite as matte as some mineral foundations, though. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it.

Leaves skin feeling very smooth. A little thicker than Im used to; but without quite as much coverage as I would like. The color blends well.

A favorite staple

I love this foundation. I have sensitive skin but like a lighter feel of foundation. This is perfect - light, blends well and looks amazing. I use 02 shade and it's perfect. This is definitely a go-to, repeat product. No harsh chemicals and no scent that irritate my skin.

I love the color, Almond, the texture of this foundation and the feel of it. I wish I had ordered more than one because I purchased it on sale. The coverage is medium for me. I have light acne and I feel good wearing it.

What is in this bottle is every bit as good as what was in the tube, but I much prefer the tube. With the pump bottle you do not know what is in i, with the tube you could easily tell when you need to reorder. The first pump of the morning releases a hardened nub that has dried at the tip, never had that with the sealed tube. I hope the tube returns, it was better.

I'm using the almond foundation, it's great for when i need a light touch up. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for good coverage, ie skin blemishes will come through

This is the foundation I have been looking for. Provides good coverage but feels light and wears all day.

My favorite

This is my favorite foundation. I've been searching for a while and was about to give up when I decided to try one last foundation. This offers a good coverage and a smooth finish. It's not heavy, and lets my skin breathe. This is the only foundation I use, and the only one I recommend; apart from being healthier than other brands it's the only one that matches so well! A little pricey for me, but definitely worth it! The only downside I could think of is that there aren't more shades to choose from for people with harder to match skin tones. Definitely a great buy!

I only use this when I need a more formal look. It is more natural looking than any other foundation I have ever tried and it does breath more than others. The macadamia is a pretty good matching skin tone but I'm still looking for the perfect match.

Good but not as good as the former foundation

I am a big fan of Hauschka foundation and I can’t say I don’t care for this product because the former formula has been discontinued, but I like the sheer formula of the previous foundation better. This foundation, although nice, is a bit less translucent. Some folks may like this best, but I have good skin and preferred the other. Perhaps you can carry both?Your foundations are still the best on the market. They look natural but the previous formula was even more natural looking!

Wow!

It took me a few weeks to fully understand how this foundation was so different than anything else I've used in 25 years. The answer is that it is your skin just with pigment to enhance the beauty you already have. I am an avid user of grapeseed oil with added essential oil that I use 2x a day. That speaking, I only need that and a few drops of Dr. Hauschka's foundation Beautiful!!!

Good Quality Product

I have been using this foundation for a few years now. I tried a few samples from other companies, including powder based foundations, but found over time my pores looked more clogged and my face broke out more. I went back to my old standby, Dr. Hauschka and my skin is looking better again. My skin just feels more comfortable and healthy when I use it. I typically use a tinted sunscreen then apply the Dr. Hauschka foundation. Just good ingredients.

Not a fan

Had high hopes. The color was perfect for me, but the application was strange...felt tacky and not very smooth. It could be user error, as I'm not the best with foundation...but it didn't exceed my expectations.

Need 00 color please!

Please add 00 back to your foundation line! As a very fair redhead 01 is NOT light enough! Love everything else about it though. Thank you.

Great foundation for oily skin!

This foundation gives light coverage, yet makes my oily skin look amazing. It makes my pores less noticeable and I feel like I don’t have to wear any other makeup besides this.

Best foundation I have found!

This product is wonderful! The ingredients are superb, it does not irritate my very sensitive skin, and it looks very natural. The pump is an improvement, and it is more convenient to use. My only complaint is the same one that I had with the previous version; it doesn’t have enough coverage. Despite that fact, I would definitely recommend it!

I purchased this product in hopes it would work. Work? Yes, 63 yrs old and acne. I need good coverage, and although the product says light to moderate, it covers and it can layer. Lasts through the day in high humidity. I love it.

I've been using this for almost two years now and plan to continue. Love that it is natural, non-toxic, and the look is natural too -- it looks like I have naturally nice, even-toned skin, but not so perfect to look fake. Smooths over skin easily.

Moving on

My wife has used this product for years, unfortunately the packaging has yet changed again. Now it is in a pump and by design will leave lots left in the dispenser. Furthermore, one has no idea how much is left in the container.She is going to look for another brand.

Everything I tried before either felt heavy, looked unnatural or made be break out. I stopped wearing foundation for years until I tried Dr. H. I have super sensitive skin and it's never made me break out. Applies easily and looks very natural. I like to add a drop of water with it so I barely have to touch my skin to smooth it on. The colors also mix well when you are in between seasons.

Hauschka Foundation

Over the past year I've integrated all Dr. Hauschka products in my skin care and now my makeup regime, so I was very excited when I finally started using the foundation. The coverage is light, so if you are really looking for it to cover mild blemishes, etc., this is not the foundation for you. It also does not really minimize pore size. I was a bit disappointed, and hope that Hauschka is working on a more full coverage formula.

This foundation is good--- but it is still not as a great as your formula ending circa 2012. I mix a dab of moisturizer with this foundation as my skin can be a bit dry. As always, love the ingredients on this product!

Lighter shades, please

Unfortunately they discontinued the 00 foundation shade a few years back, which I had been very happy with (including the formula at the time). The 01 is too dark for me although once I put it on (sparingly) I don’t think it looks horrible.The texture is a bit sticky and hard to apply, and is easier when mixed with a bit of the Quince day cream. My skin is mature and combination, but I don’t think the foundation causes me to break out.

Love this foundation!

I would highly recommend this foundation! It goes on smooth and is just enough coverage. I changed to Dr. Haushka about a year ago and until then I never had people ask me about my makeup and now I have people ask what makeup I am wearing all the time.

Better than most

I have never been able to wear foundation due to the fact it caked after a few min. This, however, went on better. I still had to mix it with my moisturizer, but it was better than anything else I have tried. The only thing I do not like about it is the color. It is too dark. I wish you had a light color for those of us with very white skin but freckles. With a lighter color, it is easy to cover the freckles. That is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. This is the best I have tried though and I have tried many!

I was concerned about being able to order the correct color for my skin tone. I held the chart up to the light and compared it to what I was using. It turned out to be the perfect color! I like that this foundation is not at all heavy. It gives my skin a nice glow especially when I use my daily Hauschka moisturizer under it. It wears great all day!

Even if I can find a color that matches my rather fair but olive skin tone, the ingredients would either bother my skin, and/or it would make we look very unnatural....mask-like. Really didn't like that look at all! This is the first foundation I have found that looks natural and feels great....an added bonus? It smells wonderful! I gave it a 4 star ONLY because I wish there were other color choices, but I'm certain that once the warmer weather arrives and I get out in the sun one of the darker shades will be perfect!

much better formula than the previous one

I've used Dr Hauschka's foundation for many years and was very disappointed with the previous formula: it was much dryer than the one before. Thankfully, they change it again to a much better, smooth and moist coverage! I love it!

Weird texture

This foundation is very light, it's almost like a tinted cream, I was not satisfied with the texture at all.

Smooth foundation

Unlike other foundations that glop, drip, and are challenging to use, I find the quality and consistency of this foundation easy to smooth on with a brush. I also applaud the new sleek dispenser which allows me to measure the output.

I have used this foundation for many years. it has a lovely fragrance, excellent coverage without that made-up look, and the organic ingredients are healthy for the skin. It's been reformulated and has a different texture; nevertheless, it's a great product which I will continue to use for many years to come.

I would have given this product a 5-star rating but I had been using shade 3 and suddenly the shades were changed and I had to return it for a FIVE! and I have light skin however, I wouldn't change foundations because my skin responds so well to it. no dryness, no breakouts, and completely natural looking.

invisibly enhancing

the texture is great and the color is perfect, I have the almond shade and I couldn't even tell that I have a makeup on, except the skin DOES look better ! It stays on and doesn't cake at all and I LOVE the fact that there is NOT any sunscreen, it is nearly impossible to find a foundation without one...if I go out at night or the sun isn't blasting I don't like to put sunscreen on , am I crazy ?

Goes on smooth

This goes on smooth and is just the right coverage for me. the new dispenser is handy, and I'm curious how it will be at the end when trying to get the last bits out. With the old tube, I would just cut it open and scoop out tons more product.

I have very sensitive skin and this foundation feels warm and heavy on my skin. The sensation of heaviness lingered. I was surprised because I have never had any problems with any Hauschka products and use the rose cream daily. I did like the color and I am sad that it did not work for me.

I love Dr. Hauschka's foundation because it gives me the right coverage without being heavy. I've learned to have fun with different shades. My base shade is #2 but I am sometimes mixing #4 or #5 with it if I am looking for some glow and it works perfectly.

Amazing foundation!

This is by far the best foundation i've ever used! Not only does it blend with with my skin but it also smells great and makes my skin feel smooth. The only way to improve this product is probably to have more variety of shades for the various skins of people out in the world. Yes its pricey but worth every penny.

Just the right coverage

I'm very happy with the amount of coverage; not too thick, but, covers darker spots and looks natural. Will be my new foundation going forward. Like another reviewer mentioned, a clear bottle would make it easier to see the amount remaining.

Still no color for fair skin with cool undertone

I used the translucent makeup in color 00 for 12 years and loved the light coverage to even out my skin tone on my pink/red cheek days. It was sheer enough that it didn’t look like I was wearing makeup but it really improved the appearance of my skin and even soothed it. When Dr Hauschka re-formulated to that last product, eliminating the translucent makeup, they no longer offered a color fair enough for my skin tone. It was also a medium coverage makeup which I didn’t like and have never needed. Now they’ve re-formulated yet again to another medium coverage makeup offering a fair color, but it has a warm undertone and looks very yellow on my skin. I’m completely disappointed again! Started using another brand when translucent makeup was discontinued and still not returning to Dr Hauschka.

NATURAL LOOK

I've been using this foundation for over 6 years and love the natural look it gives me. I mix together my Jan Marini sunscreen and Dr. H foundation it's the perfect combo for me.

Good Versatile Foundation

I like the new foundation. It has a good consistency, it works well as a base, and is versatile in that sometimes I just use it in patches where needed, depending on how much make-up I am using that day. The Macadamia is a good tone for my fair skin. And the other note is that it feels well-made & healthy... my skin is not irritated and seems to like it.

Good Coverage for Sensitive Skin

I have used Dr. Hauschka foundation for a number of years. It has either no scent or a very soft one. I have super sensitive fair skin - but I need coverage for redness. I tried a few other "natural" foundations in the past year, looking for thicker coverage, but always broke out. I was glad to hear Dr. Hauschka had a new formulation. I tried this one and I do like it, finished with the powder. I wouldn't mind an even heavier foundation for my mature skin, but this is the best of the more natural/healthy lines I've found so far. It feels very natural and never irritates my skin. I gave it 4 stars because I'd prefer a bottle I can see through to know when I'm running out. Overall I'm very pleased

Good foundation but not enough coverage

I love everything about this make-up, except that it is too thin. It doesn't irritate my dermatitis at all, and the new color is even better than the old one! It feels very natural, and it isn't greasy.

Great Product!

This product really works for me. I add Rose Cream Light to this product and I have the perfect tinted moisturizer.

To be used with crème

In one of the comments I read the foundation is to be used with crème/moisturizer. For sensitive combination I would advice the quince day cream or mellisa day cream for thicker consistency coverage mixed with your foundation choice and the revitalizing day cream for a thinner mix. I recommend using a darker foundation than normal as the crèmes changed the tint once mixed. The foundation by itself can be used on its own, but note that (in my experience) you'll be using a lot of it to cover your whole face if this is what you intend. Considering the size and price of the foundation I would mix the crème and foundation to preserve the longvetity of your purchase..

Bring the Translucent Back?

Hello! I called into Dr. Hauschka a year or so ago about the change in formula. I have tried to like the new formulation but have found (as many others have stated on their reviews)--- that it does not provide the same natural luminosity and it no longer matches my skin tone. It seems as though many people have provided similar thoughts on your site. Is it possible to bring back the translucent option? I look forward to your feedback. I generally love your line of products and would be thrilled to see your translucent option return to your product line up.

Gets better with time

When first applied it seems slightly cakey and not to cover a lot but once it has a few moments to blend with body heat and oils, it provides nice coverage and gives a glow. It looks natural on the face.

Finally!

I used the old formula for several years 03 color and it was the best for Florida! I moved and ran out, picked up somehing else, convenience. Fast forward 7 years and too many bad color/less quality brands and I remembered Dr H's!!! Yay! I love the new formula! It was the same that remembered but better and the only perfect color match ever! Coverage is perfect, fragrance has always been my favorite and i am foundation happy again!!!

Love the coverage and consistency

I love how this makes my skin look and feel. It looks natural and silky smooth. My skin appears healthier, even when I'm not wearing makeup. It's moisturizing, but not heavy. I apply this foundation, using a lighted 10X mirror. It goes on smoothly. I don't see dry uneven splotches of foundation, like I did with another well known foundation (supposedly good quality at $45).

Just a dab will do!

I like this foundation on top of moisturizer. Just a dab put on immediately after moisturizers allows it to spread very easily and thinly so that it looks natural, like not wearing anything. After it soaks in a while, sometimes I put a tiny bit of powder on top for a matte look.

Sub standard product

Coming from a top-knot here brand like Dr. Hauschka, this is shockingly bad compared to the discontinued translucent formula. The addition of coconut oil makes my skin greasy after about an hour of wear, and feels heavy/gets cakey. The smell is so off-putting and lingers for quite a while. The translucent formula was perfect in every way. Shame to ruin such a beautiful product.

Please bring translucent back!!

This new foundation is not working for me

Translucent 00 is/was the only makeup I've ever found that matched my skin tone. Super sad it is gone. I'll be 50 this year, have always had really good skin, and have zero interest in "heavier" coverage.

I have used this for at least 10 years! Ever since a Dr Hauschka esthetician helped me with a makeup makeover . It is light but covers my flaws - I have sensitive skin that usually rejectsproducts after I have used them for awhile but Dr. H products have been my "go to" for years

So I've been using the translucent foundation for years and have always loved it. When I heard that they had changed the formula and read all of the negative reviews, I decided to go elsewhere. There were just too many negative reviews. Well last week, I decided to try it for myself and be my own judge and I'm SO GLAD that I did! I really LOVE it! It's still very light which I love.... I don't like heavy foundations - I like that light feeling that doesn't feel like you have any makeup on - but still gives you coverage and evens out your skin - so it's perfect for me. The color is great... I used an 01 before so the new 01 is great too. (I have light or fair olive skin). And the smell is different but it's not at all offensive to me and I definitely don't smell it once it's on my face. Overall I couldn't be more pleased. I don't normally write reviews on products but really wanted to do so, in case anyone is thinking about trying it for themselves. I'm so happy to be able to continue using Dr. Hauschka's foundation knowing I'm using a natural product that's good for my skin, uses high quality ingredients and isn't animal tested. So, thank you Dr. Hauschka!

I agree with all who don't like this product. Regardless of what makers say, it gives less coverage, has more toxic ingredients, does not have enough colors to choose from and does not compliment my skin like original problem did. I see I am not alone! Please give us a choice and bring back Translucent Makeup!

I read the 2 Hauschka company responses to customers' expressing disappointment that the translucent line is no longer available- below- but neither response addresses the issue of discontinuing the lightest shade-Why leave out an entire category of skin color?

Not worth it!

Bring back the Translucent Make-up or I will have no choice but to find another company. Very sad! I absolutely loved 03. It was more than perfect. Truly a shame to replace it. If anything, they should have kept it and offered the foundation to those who preferred that product.

Not for the pale ladies

I'll preface this by saying that I have never used the Translucent foundation so I have no comparison to how the new formulation compares. I do actually appreciate the extra coverage that this foundation offers and indeed it does have somewhat of a less oily feel than many foundations. This is a plus since I found I didn't have to use a powder to set it. The downside is that the scent is less than pleasant and tends to linger a bit. Also the lightest shade is MUCH too dark and has a yellow tone to it. Unless they expand the color selection to accommodate us porcelain skin ladies, I'll have to find an alternative natural foundation.

Love the foundation but not the smell

The makeup itself is great but the smell is not. The smell also seems to linger for awhile too. If I were more sensitive to smells then I would not buy it.

I have searched for the right foundation forever. Finally found one that gives that flawless finish and I feel good about what I'm putting on my skin! Feel like I'm taking good care of my skin and looking great in the process!

Missing Translucent 00 :(

I haven't bought this formulation--tried it in the store and was not pleased. Like the many other commenters, I miss Translucent 00--it was a very unique product that seemed to have a loyal following. There was no other product as good for natural, beautiful skin. When I tried this one, it was worse than it's competitors! For those wanting Translucent 00, I have found Gabriel Moisturizing Liquid Foundation in Pale Ivory to do the trick (not as good as the original Translucent, but better than this new formulation...it is often available in Whole Foods locations). I am confused why a company would want to compete with every other foundation by making a less unique product when there's clearly demand for the product they did better than any one else. It's not like this foundation is awful, but it's certainly not special. The colors are not the same, and the formulation does not make your skin glow the way Translucent did. I join the other reviewers in REALLY wanting the original back. *sad face with sub-par foundation*

Why discontinue a product so many people love?

I don't normally write reviews but after attempting to buy another tube of translucent make up, and then googling why I can't buy it, and then seeing all of these reviews of disappointed loyal customers, I cant believe that Dr Hauschka wouldn't bring it back. You really had a winner there! Please bring it back! So many people love this product.....and don't like the new one! I am not even going to bother trying the new one after reading the reviews here. In the meantime, can anyone suggest a replacement? It is hard to find a good one that you know is completely natural and good for you.

Bring back the Translucent 02

I just tried the new foundation 02 I'm very disappointed, the color is different from the Translucent 02 and does not work for me. The Translucent 02 was a perfect match. Also I don't like how it feels. Why can't you sell both formula's and then everyone will be happy. I feel like I wasted my money on the new foundation.

Great skin like finish and lit within glow

I love this foundation, I got it 5 months ago or so. There are lots of negative comments and it's mostly people who want to have a lighter coverage. I would say it has a medium coverage, beautiful finish, makes my skin look perfected. I have a combination skin and my skin reacts to things it doesn't like by breaking out. I haven't had a any negative reaction to it and coconut oil is very good for combination skin and mica is completely natural. I hope Dr Hauschka develops a sunscreen - primer to go with it and would be nice to have the bronzer back. I buy it from UK on amazon. And also more explanation of the color for lipsticks and blushes. LOVE Dr Hauschka makeup and skincare!!

Sensitive to this

I used to use translucent foundation which I could tolerate. Unfortunately I am sensitive to this new foundation and have wasted my money. It brought me out in pink, dry, rough patches.

new formulation

I used the translucent formula without any problems a few years ago. I recently purchased the newer foundation. I was told it was a new formulation but I tried it anyway. I had the worst allergic reaction in my life. I do have sensitive skin but I have never had any problems with the Dr. Hauschka line until now. Ended up in urgent care it was so bad.

Bring back the perfect translucent !

Translucent foundation in 02 was my holy grail foundation: correcting my red skin tone and making my face look fresh, dewy, peachy and glowing. In stark contrast the new foundation range appears heavy, chalky and sallow. The overall effect is very makeup-y, dated and aging. Get with the times Dr. Hauschka! You had a winning formula in the translucent range that appealed to women of ALL ages. For the record: I'm 44 years old and look 30, since I want to keep it that way I'll be passing on this foundation range.

Big disappointment

I love the Translucent foundation series and have used 02 for years happily. I tried all the colors of the new series but nothing is the same as before. The red tint is missing from the new series dramatically. I read the staff response to the similar reviews here, but I still don't understand. I trusted that your ingredients were always safe for all types of skin. It sounds good that they may be even safer now... but you didn't have to change the colors so dramatically from the previous series when customers have been content. Very poor marketing move, I must say. I have been so loyal to your company over the years, but I am willing to switch to another if they provide the color that I am looking for. It is so disappointing!!!

Formula Good, Colors Too Dark for Pale Skin

I actually DO like the new formula because it covers a bit better without looking cakey, but like others, I find that the #1 shade is too dark for my light skin. I can't purchase again.

perfect for me

about a year ago I was complaining to one of my closest friends about my super sensitive skin when she asked if I hadn't already tried Dr. Hauschka's products. I said no, and I didn't give it any serious consideration, being disappointed in buying so many different brands and having to give them away after having allergic reactions all the time. The best my dermatologist could tell me was that I shouldn't use anything on my face. Not creams or lotions, and least of all, makeup (really?). one day I walked into a whole foods store while on a short vacation in the US. Passing by the cosmetic products isle, I saw the Dr. Hauschka product line and I remembered my friend's suggestion. Intrigued, I bought the basic facial treatment. What can I say. It was nothing short of a miracle. I fell in love with these products and how could I not, when my face didn't have any reaction for the first time in many years.I almost forced a second vacation to the US so I could go again to Whole Foods and buy more products from Dr. Hauschka. This time, I went for the makeup line. My skin is light with golden undertones, so foundation 01 (Macadamia) was a perfect match for me. I was thrilled when I saw that this product didn't provoke an allergic reaction either, but if that wasn't enough, I also feel that is very light, covers well my age spots (I use a brush to apply) and lasts throughout the day. I finish with dr. Hauschka's loose powder which I also LOVE. The smell of both these products is very subtle and natural.I cannot thank Dr. Hauschka's company enough for making it possible for me to use products on my face again. It is very expensive to import the products to my country, but this is something where I'd spare no expense. These products are so worth it.

Why have they discontinued my perfect shade?

For years I used the 01 colour in the foundation before they changed it to the inferior product. This is MUCH too yellow and horrible finish compared to the previous one they discontinued without any warning.I am gutted because it was the only foundation which perfectly matched my skin colour (I used the 00 in winter and 01 in summer) and which was not tested on animals and made with non-harmful ingredients. I simply cannot understand why they had to discontinue something so brilliant and irreplaceable. They could have just added an extra line if they really felt they had to.Now I don't know what to buy, as I bought this new 01 shade (there is no 00 anymore) and totally wasted my money as it is a thick yellow gloop on me. So sad and disappointed in a brand I have faithfully stuck to for decades. I feel really let down.

Foundation That's Good for Your Skin

This foundation is amazing! I have a very sensitive complexion that is easily irritated by many of the ingredients common in other make-up lines, especially synthetic petroleum-based fragrances. This foundation is not irritating at all. In fact, quite the opposite. To me it is calming, soothing, and nourishing.

Please sell translucent again

I am really disappointed with this new formula. It broke me out within hours. I guess I will have to go back to using Lancome tinted cream. :-(

I LOVE this foundation!! It gives full coverage yet isn't heavy; it actually doesn't even feel or look like your wearing makeup, which I love! It's been super gentle on my sensitive skin and done wonders for my complexion.

New Foundation

This was INSANELY drying on my skin. Made the skin around my eyes burn and peel. I will never use this again.

As a long time Dr. Hauschka customer I am SO SAD that my makeup looks so fake now. I have a very fair complexion. Now that the 00 shade is gone my foundation is too dark. I got away with it in the summer, but now that it is winter no amount of blending makes this work. I have tried two other brands with disastrous break outs. I hoarded the 00 shade when I realized it was going away. I just cut open the last tube to get two or three more applications out before throwing it away. I was able to adjust to the change in formula because this brand so far supersedes others in quality. (I still like the old one better, especially the smell.) But there is nothing a fair skinned woman can do to make foundation that is too dark look good. Please bring it back!

The old makeup was beautiful and they ruined it.

Not only did they change the beautiful makeup 00 that I was wearing, the new product made my face break out. I was going to buy this for life and it's gone now.

Please bring back the original translucent formula

Many of us are forced to find alternatives to Dr Hauschka foundation, because this new formula is terrible. :-(Please bring back the original translucent formula (why mess with something that was so wonderful?). If you were trying to save money on the production, maybe keep the formula the same and raise the price. I'd rather pay more for a product I love than continue sampling other brands trying to find something I loved as much as your original translucent formula. Bring it back, please!

I love this foundation because it feels very healthy and nourishing on my skin. I can feel that the ingredients are very natural, which my skin loves! It's moisturizing so if you already have oily skin, it may not be the best fit. The only thing is that I wish it had more coverage. I use it alone on days I don't have much acne, but when my face has lots of acne, it doesn't do the job of heavy coverage.

I like it!

I was SO hesitant to try this because of all the negativity. It was on sale at a store near me recently and I was out of my old foundation, so I thought I's give it a go. I am also a long time user of the Translucent Make-up, and I have mourned its loss quite a bit. I do still wish Dr. Hauschka hadn't discontinued it. I think there would be room in the product line for BOTH of these foundations, as they are very different. This foundation gives a more "done" look - its a little less natural looking, more matte and "polished". I find that you don't need to apply very much - just small dots in a few areas of your face and blend. I find it is easy to apply with either fingertips or a foundation brush. I have very dry, somewhat aging skin and this goes on easily for me and doesn't look cakey or cling to dry spots (I moisturize well before with Rose Day Cream usually). It lasts all day on me (8 hour work day), and still looks good enough after work that I can go out for drinks or dinner with no touching up. The 01 "Macadamia" color is a decent match - it looks like it wouldn't be, but blends in very well. I used 01 in the old Translucent as well, and sometimes 02 - not sure how this will be when I get a little sun. I think its funny that people complain about the smell, as I find this has much LESS of a scent than the old Translucent. A faint powdery, herbal, lavender smell is all I detect, and that fades quickly. Overall, I do really like this, and I will keep buying it. Of course - if they ever bring back Translucent, they'd get twice my money because I'd buy both for different occasions!

Foundation 01

I really loved the previous Translucent 01. I bought the new 01 with macadamia nut oil and I don't like it. It is not a natural look it is darker and I do not find it better in coverage rather fake looking. 2 What I loved about the other was the natural look. I have used a lot of foundations and I really miss the old one- bring it back! Sadly I'm now looking for another brand when this runs out. It does not live up to the marketing!

Perfect!

I have been a big and loyal fan of Dr. Hauschka, using the moisturizer, serums, tonics, rose cream for 8 years now. However, until 2 weeks ago, I did not try their make up line. My sister left me her foundation to use and I think it's amazing, The formula is thick, but not too tick, just perfect for slightly cold weather. I put it on after the moisturizer and my skin feels just right (I have normal to slightly oily skin). The coverage is amazing and your face doesn't look like a mask, it's very natural. Because I didn't try the translucent foundation, I cannot make the comparison. I have been using the Chanel foundation and these two foundations are as comparably great. After reading the one star reviews, I just felt that I need to leave a positive comment because this foundation is great and feels so natural on my skin.

Translucent was perfect.

I am sorry to say that the Foundation alternative to Transluscent does not look anywhere near as flawless or give bright coverage when on my face. I have been using Transluscent for years, and was so disappointed when discovering it had been discontinued. Why Dr Hauschka? It was obviously well loved and used by so many women.I decided to try the new foundation alternative with an open mind, but sadly it is lacking in its overall effect; colour, brightness and coverage. I have bought exclusively Dr Hauschka products for 18 years, so it is very reluctantly that I am looking for another brand in this type of product.Please consider bringing the Transluscent Make Up, back into production.
