Truly combines fun and healthy competition with meaningful conversation! I use this game in my work as a therapist with couples, groups, and even treatment-reluctant individuals, but I can see any group of friends or family having an enjoyable, meaningful time with Totika! In my last job, I used this with court-ordered substance abusers who historically frame coming to group as punishment. They. Had. A. Blast! It was invigorating for them to stretch the game out by keeping the tower stable and standing as long as possible....and after it collapsed, so often, would want to keep the conversation going with the cards portion. Truly rewarding, and worth every penny. My new boss just borrowed it to take home to play with his wife and kids, ranging in age from 12 to 21 :)

I am a school counselor and I use this game very frequently. Overall, I have found this to be the single most well received game I use with my students. It is especially great for students who are uncomfortable and afraid to open up. By the end of a round they are usually very involved, laughing and excited/nervous about the blocks falling. They get so involved in the game that they become less resistant to answering questions. I like using this much more then playing with question cards using the typical board game. However, the questions on the cards are not useful for me with elementary students. It could be they would be good self-esteem building questions for teens, but the younger children do not really understand them. I tend to replace the cards with other therapeutic cards that I have from other games. Also, although I do like the concept of colorful cards and picking the question that matches the color of the block you removed, I think regular jenga works just as well and can be a quarter of the price.
So, to summarize: If you have money to spend, this is a terrific game for therapy and the colorful blocks definitely add. But if you are tight and need a few of these, regular Jenga works. And, I don't recommend the included self-esteem cards for elementary students.

As a therapist who was trained in psychoanalysis and the traditional depth psychology approaches, I don't generally play that many games with the child clients. But recently I decided to give it a shot due to an event where CPS requested if I could make visits to a particular institution where I would only get 15-20 minutes to work with each kid. This game was absolutely what I needed for those very brief sessions. This is their absolute most favorite therapy game. The kids ask for it as soon as they walk into the office.

I've used this games with kids and families. They all love it and have fun playing it. It's helped some kids learn what self esteem is and generate good conversations from the questions asked. I bought the teen/adult deck to go with it too. Great game!

I bought this to use during therapy sessions with my child, adolescent clients. I have gotten positive feedback from all the clients who have used it -- including families. Highly recommended for those working with children. Very reasonably priced - durable. I only wish the box were not so small/tight, as it is a bit timely to try to fit all the blocks back into the box. They all have to be aligned in the same manner as they arrived in the box, or they won't all fit back in.
