Another one of our wine tasting stop in North Georgia. Awesome venue and friendly staff. They had some great wines as well.
We grabbed a bottle and some meat and cheese and had a great time on the back deck.

I was travelling and thought what are the Blue Ridge mountains without wine? I read the reviews and was sold when I saw mulled wine and wine slushies. I never made it to the mulled wine. The vineyard was almost closed when I arrived so my tasting was pretty quick. I told the sommelier my taste and was geared towards "A Touch of Sweet."
The tasting consisted of four wines for only $6! Premium tastings are $10 with cute names like "Chardonnay on the Left" and Right. I didn't care for the Chatuga Red but fell in love with the Dueling Banjo White and Dueling Banjo Peach! The Banjo White is a "bright, aromatic, lightly sweet muscadine wine." It wasn't overly sweet and if I could define it with one word it would be DELISH! The Banjo Peach is the same but blended with local pureed peaches. I couldn't decide which was my favorite!
I also sampled the peach and raspberry lushies ($6). They're small but pack quite a punch! Let's just say they make Lake Chatuge look even more spectacular! I sat on the deck overlooking the beautiful vineyard and felt quite tranquil.
Hightower Creek also has a beautiful space for weddings, events (there was a 70's party that evening) and live music on the weekends. I returned the next day to purchase a bottle of the Dueling Banjos ($16) for the trip home. It was that good! I'll definitely return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Shannon P.Alpharetta, GA04Feb 25, 2023
Great visit here last Sunday morning. The lovely lady working the opening tasting was absolutely fantastic- super friendly, helpful, and accommodating with hesitant tasters. We really appreciated the level of service on a busy morning.
Wine is great here! Love the oak barrels, and they do a great job. I live in Atlanta, and was overjoyed to learn that my boyfriend's dad lives about 15mins from the awesome winery I found a few years ago! I was not disappointed when I asked that the fam join me for a tasting so I could grab a few bottles of the Trillium while I was in the area again. Everyone enjoyed the porch and hospitality!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gary C.Chamblee, GA03Nov 21, 2023
I know the owners and based on our long time friendship the wine's gotta be good! Can't wait to sample the wine ourselves. Ask Carol about the Christmas table cloth.

My wife and I came to Hiawassee for a couple of days to celebrate our anniversary with little plans other than the cabin we booked. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Hightower Creek Vineyards was open- and on a Sunday! Fantastic bar/flight service. Very informative and entertaining, and superb wines. Looks like they also have a good amount of themed nights that look like fun too. We're already planning our next trip back to the area and will certainly include Hightower in our visit.

Pleasant surprise find with some great wines to enjoy. We left with several bottles thanks to Emily and can't wait to get back for a visit during warmer weather to better enjoy all the outside venue has to offer.

This vineyard was a highlight of our trip. Everyone there was so helpful and nice. We loved the wine and exploring the areas around. We spent multiple hours at this spot. We cannot wait to return sometime.

This place was so great I wrote a poem about it.
Come for a taste, leave with a case
You'll love the people, the wine, and the place
Everyone that comes here leaves with a whole case of wine. Bring extra spending money, you'll be surprised how good the wine is.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
