ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

    by Tyork on 3/18/24

If you've never seen this little old band from Texas you're missing out it's been several 30 plus years since I've seen them and they put up one of the best shows I've ever seen that had a lasting impact of entertainment there never be a replacement for Dusty Hill but I'm sure he's proud of Jake and Billy and Frank for continuing on the legacy of ZZ Top

These bands are timeless. Every time I see them I enjoy not only the music but the show as well. The venue was perfect.

    Must see concert.

Elwood has improved tremendously since the previous year, and can match Dusty's bass sound. He still respects Dusty's legacy and doesn't feel as comfortable with the dance moves. But the sound is there. The sound quality was studio quality. It was a 10.

    Great, but lineup was wrong.

by TMT on 3/17/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

First act, Black Stone Cherry, was just OK. Second act, Lynyrd Skynyrd, was AWESOME!!! Lots of heart and soul was put into it. Took me back to when music was so much better than today. Third act, ZZ Top, Was OK but let’s face it they’re getting pretty old and I think their time has passed. I would’ve enjoyed them more as the second act instead of the finale. I was on my feet dancing the whole time through Lynyrd Skynyrd ; at least ZZ Top gave me a chance to sit down and rest.

    Shoulda been second

by Craig on 3/17/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

After black Stone Cherry and Lynyrd Skynyrd put on such upbeat shows, ZZTop was a little disappointing because they basically stood at their microphones and sang and played. Don't get me wrong, I love ZZTop’s music but was expecting more of a “show” after the first two groups. I think it would have been a better show if ZZTop would have gone second and Lynyrd Skynyrd had closed the show out.

    a good night was had

by mr.good time on 3/17/24Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Lynyrd Skynyrd was great, ZZ Top was good as well. ZZ Top's tempo seemed a little slow, and I expect that with their age, no offense. They played all their classic hits, to the audiences delight
