Q: What's the difference between the liquid and the powder of the Bar Keeper's Cleanser? Is one more user friendly than the other?

A: They are the same product; with the exception the Bar Keepers Friend Powder Cleanser doesn’t come water added. Some people like to use the Bar Keepers Friend Liquid Cleanser, that way they don’t guess on how much water to add. With the Bar Keepers Friend Powder Cleanser, you can make it more abrasive with the less water you add.

A: I got this information directly from a google search on barkeeper's friend which was very easy & simple to do. When in doubt, google it. Active ingredients. According to the 2015 material safety data sheet, the ingredients are feldspar, linear sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (DDBSA), and oxalic acid. Unlike more abrasive cleaning powders such as Comet and Ajax, Bar Keepers Friend uses oxalic acid as its primary active ingredient.

A: No, do not use Bar Keepers Friend products to clean Hexclad. Hexclad pans have a non-stick technology coating, and it is recommended to only use warm, soapy water. If you use a product to clean them, it may void the lifetime warranty.

This is a must-have in my kitchen. Huge fan of using this on any bits of rust, grease, or hard-to-clean spots. Just make sure you avoid using it on non-stick pans, polished stone counters, or the other spots mentioned on the product’s label. However, I’ve used this to completely revamp old stainless steel cookware, aluminum cookie pans, and stovetops—making them look good as new. You can’t beat the price either.

Great product, but the delivery of the item (drive up order) is another story. Whoever is stocking these items on the shelves (and picking orders) needs to pay better attention. The product was received damage, and the cleansing powder immediately started to spill as soon as I opened the bag due to the can being damaged at the bottom. Whoever handled the product should have seen this from the get go.

This product took out 2.5 years of hard water and dust grime (brought home from a job daily) stains in less than an hour! A little elbow grease and the tub is stain free! I’m still in shock of how well this worked when other cleaners didn’t.

It was the only product that cleaned my tub. I tried everything to get stains out. You do need a scrubber and elbow grease. I did wet the powder with water and let the remains sit on the bottom of the tub for couple of hours. Cleaning Two times will do the trick

I love this stuff! We use it to clean tile grout, our kitchen sink, and stainless steel pans. It’s so versatile and does a great job removing gunk compared to a scrubber sponge.

Tried this because I couldn't find Bon Ami. Here's what I found: Stainless steel: works quickly to brighten surface. Not too much scrubbing involved. Steel pans with copper bases: Brightens copper almost instantly removing light tarnish in seconds. Porcelein sinks: Removes soap residue rather quickly. Figerglass showers/tubs: Brightens surface to a lighter shade, and cuts through soap residue easily. Chrome: Removes water stains almost instantly. Now for the cons: 1. Burns skin and creates acidic fumes. MUST wear gloves when using this. (Note: This product burned off the top layer of skin on my hands in less than 1 minute.) 2. Dulls fiberglass, chrome, porcelein, and steel surfaces, even when used exactly as directed! 3. Removes the shine from copper. I would suggest using copper polish after using this. Summary: I probably won't buy this again as it's a bit too acidic and dulls too many surfaces. Yes, it brightens metal, but removes the shine at the same time, especially on chrome, fiberglass and porcelein.
