Florence Nightingale pursued a career in nursing, a vocation she believed was her moral duty. I bought this as a gift for someone who collects Barbies, and it will be a nice addition to the collection. the outfit represent the time period, very simple. the cap and sash sets it off beautifully. I shopped around and Walmart had the best price by far.

I love that Barbie is showing inspiring women and how important they are to society. This comes with a certificate of authenticity and display stand as well. Although my daughter is a little young to understand the significance of what Florence did, she still loves playing with the doll. Got this for my granddaughter. She has had a great time playing with it. "Florence" was tending to all the other dolls that were sick. The doll also opened up a discussion about what a nurse is and their duties. Also who Florence was in real life. Very educational. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I am very disappointed in this item.  It is going to be a gift and the box is damaged. The plastic on the front of the box is all scratched. I am not sure if I should take a chance and send it and hope the next is not worse. There was not any packing slip in the box.
