[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received VTech Alphabet Apple to test. The toy is listed as having 8 learning activities for preschoolers that can teach them about animals, objects, words, sounds, letters, spelling and the concept of time. You can press the light up alphabet button to hear the 26 different sounds. There is a little clock with movable hand and you can easily take the toy on the go because it has a handle.
I was hoping to have my 23-month-old daughter play with this toy to teach her the alphabet and sounds but she wasn't really interested. She mainly just wanted to push the buttons. I guess she isn't ready yet but I will keep trying. So then, I had my 5 years old daughter play with it. While she can sing the alphabet song, she thinks it's just a song. She doesn't realize that it means something and can't tell what each letter is. As she was playing with it, she said that its really cool. She really enjoyed the games that are on the toy. She likes to quiz herself and play the follow the light game. I think after playing with the alphabet apple for a couple of weeks, she will be able figure out and understand sounds and letters better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our little guy loves this. He has played with it several times now and plays at least at an hour at a time. He is four and the entire concept is working for him. It is easy to operate and be involved right from the start. He is repeating letters and recognizing some as prompted to. He is choosing this toy over some of his other favorites sometimes. It seems 
sturdy enough for him to last for some time. I think it would make a great gift.  I am glad we have it and would recommend it in a heart beat.

So busy

My nephew is just the right age for this game to really have an impact.  I believe that when he plays this he will be learning and practicing ahead of the game, so in Kindergarten he will thrive.  I played with one of these when I was young as well. I loved it, so I definitely recommend it!

Great Gift!

When he got this for his birthday. He loved it. That was a few weeks ago. And he is still playing with it today. He walks around and educates everyone.

my god son is now 4 he loves this.

I purchased the item for my niece and my neighbor.  My sister told me that all the toys that she bought her daughter she would not play with.  But she told me that she plays with this toy.  I'm really impressed.  My neighbor said "he loves it".  My niece is 4 about to be five and requires special services my neighbor's grandson is 2.  Great range.

Great learning toy.

I purchased this for my three year old son. He absolutely loves it. There are so many different ways to enjoy this Alphabet Apple and to learn about the letters, how to pronounce the letters and even how to spell words! The clock feature was an extra bonus. He loves to sing to the music and songs of the music feature. Personally I am most impressed with how the individual letters light up when teaching to spell. Definately worth the price for all the education value. Highly recommend :)

Fun learning tool

My grandson has special needs and is challenged, but able to perform the teaching and spelling tasks on this product. He loves the tunes and activities. It goes with him everywhere and is one of his favorite "bedtime" toys. He is unable to speak, but uses the "I am a happy worm" cue by the inch worm to let us know how things are!

Great for my grandson!

I am so impressed the quality of this toy. It is colorful, educational & my grandson loves it. The lights are bright, and the sounds are a nice volume, so that children can hear it. It is a nice sized apple, with varying degrees of learning games....good for children learning their ABC's, all the way to the children beginning to spell words. The kids think they are playing, but they are really having a good time learning ! I will keep this toy in mind as a gift for other children in the family as well.

You Have to Buy This !

I love these Vtech learning tools for my preschooler and toddler. Again, the packaging is more secure than the Capitol building. I nearly broke my fingers trying to detach this toy from the box. It shouldn't be this hard to access kids toys.

This came in the mail with some of the letter lights not working smh very disappointing
