Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for the next generation of gaming graphics card, this is it. If you're playing at 1080p resolution or lower, on a single screen I would recommend the GTX 1070. But for 1440P up to 4K, this card handles games very well. It runs silent, it is power efficient, and we'll worth the price tag.

Power comes at a price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 1080 for the explicit purpose of creating a virtual reality ready machine. I have not yet bought a VR headset, but this GPU has allowed me to run everything with the highest visual settings without sacrificing performance. My only complaint is the single HDMI port. Most of the ports are Display Ports but with an HDMI/Display Port adapter (which was reasonably priced at Best Buy) all my monitors have worked well. There are other 1080s with moderately better performance, but this one is worth the money.

Still the best graphics card on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Running 2 cards in SLI mode for 3 Dell 27" 4K minitors and they run great. Only better option would be to buy the new 1080 Ti model (adds a little more memory & Cuda core performance notched up a bit). Anyone building a multiple GPU rig knows these are a no brainer. Hope this helps.

Love this card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What is there to say? The card performs great. I can play every game I own with the settings turned all the way up, and I get great frame rates all the time. I also love the glowing GEFORCE GTX logo on the side. Founders Edition cards are my favorite.

I have three of them
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started purchasing 1070s to build a mining rig. My second unit I started building with 1080s. Once they became difficult to court, I began mixing video cards as seen.

Q: QuestionI'm going to Boston next month and would like to know if I'll find any GTX 1080 to buy from the store. or do I run the risk of just finding it on the internet?
Asked by Thiago.
- A:Answer I had to order mine from bestbuy.com as they were sold out in stores near where I live.

Q: QuestionI currently have 3 1080p monitors and a GTX 1060 3GB. The 3 monitors is a bit too much for my current card, so I was wondering if you'd suggest upgrading straight to the 1080, or going with the 1070. Thanks!
Asked by McKlub.
- A:Answer It all comes down to what you're using your monitors for. Are you using all 3 for some kind of racing game? Maybe an FPS? Or maybe an RPG? A 1070 can run most games, but fast paced graphic heavy games are more suited for the 1080. While the 1070 can run 3 monitors, in the long run the 1080 will last longer in comparison with future games. It also depends on how much you're willing to spend. The 1080 dropped in price since the 1080 TI just came out so it's worth it in the long run. But if you're tight on cash, the 1070 will suffice.

Q: QuestionWill this work in an hp envy h8-1534? not sure if I would need an processor update or something?
Asked by jason.
- A:Answer It depends. How much space does the case have? What is your psu rated for? What resolution/frame rate do you want? I run this card for a 1440p/144hz/1ms monitor and i hit 90 - 100 fps on ultra settings. Do you have a strong cpu? If you want 60fps at 1080p, then a 1070 or 1060 might be a better fit.

Q: QuestionHow do I find what stores have this in stock?
Asked by Zoom.
- A:Answer I found my Nvidia GTX 1080 by visiting the Best Buy Web address and checking each store within my area for availability. After finding a store I called to verify the item was actually in stock. The item may not be on the store shelf but rather in the stock room.
