    Not my cup of tea

by Dudleydooright on 11/17/17Sandler Center - Virginia Beach

As a lifelong TE fan I was cautiously optimistic when I saw the billing but left after hearing what sounded like the same song on repeat. Opening act was entertaining but let's be real, 1 1/2 hours of mandolin solos while Tommy plays rhythm guitar wasn't what I wanted to see. Would have been OK had he and Grisman played for 30 minutes and then Tommy close out the show with a shortened solo set.

    Disappointed

    by Bubbyo7 on 11/13/17Ames Center - Burnsville

I was so excited to hear Tommy Emanuel, one of my favorite guitar players. The opening act was great! I didn't realize who Dave Grisman was. I wish I would have done some research on him. Most of the show was Tommy playing rhythm to a Grateful Dead leftover on Mandolin. We left early after 45 minutes of what sounded like the same song over and over. Next time I'll do my research.

    TE disappointment

by markoh3 on 11/13/17Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theatre (formerly Capitol Theatre) - Columbus

Paid to listen to TE play his classics. Only heard a few. I’m assuming if his other guest was available we wouldn’t have heard ANY favorites. Sadly my last TE show

    Fabulous show

by Ahuka on 11/13/17Michigan Theater - Ann Arbor

If you know anything about these two guys you would expect some seriously good pickin', and they did not disappoint. What was a surprise is how good the opening act of Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley were. They were a good fit, and collaborated on several numbers You won't be disappointed by this show.

    Gotta Love Tommy

Excellent venue and performance by Tommy Emmanuel. The start time of 8:00 PM made a very late night...have to take into consideration for future events.

    Tommy and Friends

by Buzdobro on 11/11/17Michigan Theater - Ann Arbor

One of the best musical experiences I've ever witnessed. To see artists at this level performing their craft is an experience most dream about. I must say, this is the first time I attended the Michigan Theater, and I was impressed with the beautiful design and architecture that was used in 1925. The acoustics and the soundman that regulated them were second to none. A night I will surely never forget!

The two guys that started the night, Trey & Robb were excellent. Then Emmanual & David played. Wow!!!!
