[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three boys, ages 2, 4, and 7 and all three love this toy. They are all obsessed with Ryan and his mystery playdate show so they were super excited as soon as they saw it. And they have all had a great time playing with it. The gears, stencils, and stamps are a great addition that hep set this apart from similar toys. And of course, they all love that it plays the show theme song though I will admit, that isn't my personal favorite.

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children aged 2 years to 9 years of age absolutely love this Ryan's mystery date drawling board so much so that they're playing with one another without any fuss or fights and quite frankly it's pretty awesome to finally see them sharing with eachother. And from a parents perspective I love that the sound effects for one can be turned off and on, the 3 stamps on located on the left of the board stay in place so they won't get lost easily but at the same time not too hard to remove and put back for those little children's hands and the pen for drawing is permanently attached to the board by a hidden soft orange Silicone like string so it will never get misplaced and lastly the traceable sheets (there's 6)  are safely tucked away stacked upon each other  in the back of this drawing board for safe keeping. So far we've used this board countless times when traveling on the busy freeway and every time it's been a hit my kids are easily entertained by it it never gets old to them and they also really enjoy the different shades of colors when drawling or stamping on this board. I without any doubt highly recommend this toy for anyone who has  children or simply cares for them and this is coming from a mom of 7 kids, this toy may seem basic but it's genius !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children love Ryan. My daughter has been watching Ryan's toy review on youtube for years now. Then I had a boy and he grew up on the same stuff. The Ryan's Mystery Playdate Drawing Board is a must have for the car. Like every other board it comes with stamps and stencils but of course their favorite features are the ones unique to Ryan's board.  You can move the gears to play the music from his show and this is by far my 2 year old sons favorite part. He plays them over and over and it never seems to get old, for him. He will draw and use the stamps but most of the car ride is musical. My 4 year old daughter loves the drawing board because of the colors. The board doesn't come off all black. She calls it a rainbow of color. She loves writing her name and it is just large enough to draw pictures. Lets not forget why mama loves it.. It comes fully equipped with batteries. 

Excellent Car Alternative to iPad

THIS IS A GIFT FOR MY GRANDSON RYLAND,IT WAS FOR HIS 4TH. BIRTHDAY BUT IT CAME LATE SO NOW IT'S FOR A EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never heard of Ryan's Mystery Playdate before, but was interested in this for general artsy purposes. From looking at the package, it's hard to tell exactly what the board does because it doesn't really explain the purpose very well. The board itself was a little difficult to remove from the box as I had to unfold each side before the cardboard it was attached to would be free to remove the fasteners. 
I really like that it only draws using the included stamps or pen and not just by your finger, so you don't accidentally mess up your drawing. It also includes stencils which conveniently store in the back. I do wish that the drawing pen had a way to retract (as it's connected to the board - good so it doesn't get lost, but annoying to slowly push it back in the holder). It does come with batteries, but their only purpose is to play the theme song to the show when the gears are turned so I removed them. 
I also wish the colors were more randomized, because the way it is set up there are four quadrants (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow) and as you draw it turns whatever color the spot you drew it is.

Good but could be improved

Personally I dont think its worth the price. The second you write/draw it disappears. The thing itself is cute and all the magnets work but the image doesnt stay long even if the eraser part is fully slid over. The stencils are in the back of the board in a little pocket they have. The music/sounds work. Just not a fan that by the time my child is done drawing and comes to show me its basically faded and gone. He gets sad. Ill post a picture of some writing and you can see how fast it disappears. As you can see, the first letters are fading by the time I get to the last letter.

Not worth the price.

My boyfriend and I got this for our daughter for Christmas. We wanted to get her a magnadoodle but they were sold out, infact this was the only thing comparable to it so we bought it. I had never heard of Ryan or any of his toys prior to getting this. One thing I like about the product is that it's in color and comes with stencils and cute magnets to use. However, it doesn't work good at all. Almost as soon as we draw on it, it almost disappears or dissolves. It's done it since we got it and I feel like a toy for almost 30$ should work better than that. I'm very disappointed and will be bringing it back. Maybe we got a bad one who knows but overall I will stick with the good ol fashion magna doodle. The “hello” was drawn on first and I drew the squiggle line not long after. You can see that the hello isn't as dark as the squiggle because it already started to dissolve or disappear.
