These strips cook up easily and add the perfect smoky-salty tang to avocado toast. I love them! They are the perfect substitute for vegetarians. Vegans - please stop leaving reviews for products you haven’t tasted. If you’re old enough to leave a review, you’re old enough to read an ingredient list. Vegetarians are people too.

Have been wanting to try this for a very long time. Unfortunately, these are not vegan, so it's a no go. Hope to see a vegan version of this some day. I rely on the other vegan "bacon" brands instead.

I like the flavor and texture. But these aren’t plant based by the true definition. They contain milk and eggs, which should be clearly stated on the front of the box. Milk and eggs are two very common food allergies/intolerances that people try to avoid, and unfortunately for me I became complacent in trusting the “plant based” label on most other things. I’m fortunate in that my avoidance of dairy and eggs is to prevent discomfort rather than severe illness.

These are NOT plant-based. They contain egg. The package labeling is incredibly misleading at best and dangerous at worst. I wish Morningstar would actually make all of their products actually PLANT BASED.

another morning start product in the large catalogue of truly plant based products, that turns out not to be plant based. Which is a shame, if these were labeled clearly, this would be great. The taste is the closest I have had to real bacon, but it contains animal products, making it difficult to recomment. Please make your product labeling clear. Many of us end up buying this product after having had some of your other plant based products, and assume these follow similar guidelines, not at all assuming they are filled with animal products. I know the ingredient list shows us this, but it really isn't enough for a product clearly market to those with dietary restrictions.

According to the FDA's "Labeling of Plant-Based Alternatives to Animal-Derived Foods: Draft Guidance for Industry," terms like "plant-based" or "plant" convey to the consumer that the food is derived from plants rather than animals. However, this product includes both eggs and milk, both of which are animal-derived ingredients, making the title label misleading. "Pork-free" might be a better description. The misuse of the plant-based label and the inclusion of carcinogenic red dyes is disappointing. I regularly appreciate, purchase, and recommend other products from this company, but this one receives 1 star.

These are so tasty and I am used to buying them all the time. I had no idea that they contained a carcinogen and will never buy them again until that is changed. Please send me an email or respond to let me know when Red Dye 3 Will be removed so that I can return to buying two packs a week for my family.

I love this product but cannot buy until they remove all the dye. It isn't necessary; it has taken the FDA 30 years to ban Red 3, which they did today, and it will take them another 30 to ban Red 40. Morningstar, this is a great product. Please remove the Red 40. It's not necessary.

Unfortunately I have to give a one star review based on the ingredients. If you would take out the artificial color red dye and carrageenan. The consumer is more educated than you realize and as we move into a more plant based product world we look closely at the ingredient options. They should never be harmful especially to our children.

I'm vegan and I ran out of seitan strips for my breakfast sandwiches. I have to go to another city to buy that so a family member picked up some of this product in the meantime until we can go get more of the other one. They thought it was vegan. I checked the label right away like I usually do and informed them it was sadly not, and then proceeded to go on a rant about how annoying marketing like this is. I have trust issues because of products exactly like this. Don't market yourself as "plant based" and then put animal products (milk and egg) in your "plant based bacon." It's misleading and you're trying to get clout from the trendy plant based marketing without even caring about the animals being exploited. get outta here with this misleading trash.

I'm pescetarian. These are so good! I fry them in a small pat of butter or olive oil. Use them for BLTs on sourdough, torn into bits in potato salad, in quiches, appetizers...I even stir them in the pan with cracked black pepper and put the lid on for Reubens! I hope that the recipe never changes. Make ham too!

Absolutely love this bacon it taste better than pork bacon. Definitely my absolute favorite bacon ever made. It gets so crispy and has a ton of flavor.
