Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

Expensive pump batteries not included

- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2015The PROS = For the price, this is a pretty nice airbed. I had been using a foam mattress for camping, but decided to try an airbed for the first time to save space when packing. It was surprisingly comfortable, and a twin size fitted sheet did indeed fit on it perfectly. It deflated quickly, and folded up small enough to fit back in the box. The mattress itself deserves 5 stars.
The CONS = The pump (which is included) is not impressive. It needs 6 "C" batteries (so you have to purchase two packs of four). It seems to take quite a long time to fill up the airbed using the pump. Perhaps this is normal, I have never used an airbed before, but it seemed very slow to me. And I could not figure out any way to not hold the nozzle the entire time, so you have to sit and hold it while it ever so slowly inflates the mattress. Plus, filling the airbed ONE time nearly drained the batteries! If you need to buy new batteries every single time you want to fill the airbed, that cost will add up very quickly. I lost a little air the first night I used it, and there was just enough juice left in the batteries to top it up. On the second night, the batteries had no juice left, so I was unable to top it off. However, it did retain enough air to be comfy, and I realize this might be a standard problem with the first use. I plan to use this mattress again next camping season, but I plan to find a much better pump. The pump that comes with the mattress rates 2 stars.
UPDATE September 2018:
I have now used this mattress for 3 years of summer camping, and it is still as good as new. I am impressed that such an inexpensive mattress has held up so well. As for the crummy pump that comes with it, I bought an inexpensive Intex brand pump that plugs into the lighter socket of my car and it works like a charm, inflating the mattress fully in under two minutes. I still keep the battery pump in my tent just in case the mattress needs topping up during a multi night camping event. I highly recommend this long lasting mattress and the Intex plug in pump.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2010If you're looking for an air mattress, you're probably not looking for the greatest sleep of your life, but for a cheap, practical and quick way to sleep.
This mattress is just that.
It comes with an air mattress pump which is great: it takes about a minute to inflate completely! I read in other reviews that batteries were included, but not in my mattress. I guess it was a packing error.
I slept on the mattress for a full week and I only had to put air in on the 5th day because it had deflated a little bit, but nothing bad, ie; I never woke up with my body touching the ground, there was still plenty of support.
Deflating was a little complicated but we managed to go through with it. It folds up nicely and fit in my suitcase for the trip home!
Pros:
-Very cheap
-Reliable
-Confortable
-Electric Pump included
I can't see any cons!
I highly recommend, it is the perfect additional bed!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2010A nice product, but the included pump won't completely inflate it to the pressure i want. It does inflate it rapidly, but only to a point where it starts to develop a little pressure.
Otherwise very nice and has stayed inflated for over two weeks now.
Edit 1-AUG-2010: I've had this for a while now and realized that the pump is fine, the problem was that alkaline batteries reading 1.5 Volts actually don't have enough power to run it properly. I put in D-to-AA adapters and used regular NiMH rechargeables, now it works great and pumps it up within about 30 seconds. (Tech note: Even though the AA batteries are only 1.4 Volts fully charged, they can deliver more current than the Alkaline "D" cells I was using. They seem to last for about 5 fills before needing recharging, and even with carrying the charger and a small 12V-110VAC inverter, it still weighs a lot less than with "D" cells in them.)
The valve assembly is the same as on the Queen and Full size sold by Intex. It works great for both quick filling and fast emptying but you need to be careful not to accidentally bump it or it will pop off and you'll end up on the ground in 10 seconds!
This mattress has held up better than any other inflatable mattress i've owned in the last 3 years. Perhaps this is because they are smaller and won't be subjected to the pressure of two adults!
It is a very comfortable mattress. We use it for guests and also for camping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top auf der Airbeat One
