Don't listen to the bad reviews!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game. I enjoyed it. The game uses only a couple buttons (action and for changing costumes) to play. It's a mix of Nights, Super Mario 3D World and Sackboy in terms of finding/collecting items in order to proceed. The cut scenes and animations are awesome. Most people who are saying this game is bad, never played it. Trust me, it's better than anything Star Wars, Fortnite... and country music! :)

Nothing innovative, but still a charming game.
||Posted . For veteran fans of Yuji Naka, the vibe from trailers was that this was going to feel like a spiritual successor to Nights Into Dreams, a game from the Saturn era that was filled with speed, mayhem, crazy visuals, and really pushed the limits of the system's graphics. I think the two most jarring things about Balan Wonderworld that turned Sega fans off was average graphics, and the very simplistic gameplay. No innovation in control or platforming gaming here whatsoever. This means Balan Wonderworld has the greatest shot at being a real hit with young children, but older gamers will likely find the game to be a bit bland. Still, I got a lot of enjoyment out of the Yuji Naka style whimsy that is littered throughout. The music is absolutely gorgeous, there is a surreal and dazzling dream-like charm to the game worlds, very similar to what Nights Into Dreams brought to the table, the boss fights do look very gorgeous and while a bit simple, still have a very charming silliness to them, complete with the characters performing a broadway like musical number after each boss is defeated. You can't help but have a smile from it. Pick this one up if it's cheap.

Disappointing

Meh

Not as bad as all the reviews say
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has getting bombed everywhere. “Worst game ever!” “Waste of time and money”, etc....Honestly, my family didn’t find it all that bad. Is it on a Mario level?? Absolutely not. It is good enough to keep u entertained for 8-10 hours. It feels like a decent budget game. It would have been received better at a lower price point. It’s good enough to pick up when it hits $29.99. I feel bad because this was made by the creator of Sonic. It feels like a cohesive package, just one suited for the bargain bin.

Ok game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its not really bad, it has potential. The graphics are amazing, but the story jumps around so much and game play gets confusing at times. Not worth 60.00

Not great, but I still enjoy it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are odd design choices and poor execution on some of the ideas in this game... but I don't think it's as bad as you've heard. It aimed to be a return to great, classic 90s and early 2000s platformers... but ultimately didn't execute on their ideas perfectly. The game still has a lot of creativity, excellent music, and fun platforming levels. I'm happy I gave the game a shot.
